That sounds awful, and very depressing.
I think if it happens again, you will have to cry very loudly.

A fabulous match. She has really upped her game to play Serena at that level.
I have been in the wars- I was taking my supper plate on a tin tray to kitchen before bedtime last night when I tripped and fell flat on my face. I have a pinned and plated ankle L) and a R) TKR . I managed eventually to get off the floor- I had to leave most of the mess and went to bed.
Could not sleep because of pain in my L) foot so got up at 5.30am and ordered a mini cab etc to take me to local A&E. As I suspected I have broken my big toe L) foot so I have a mini POP. on the broken toe. My black eye on the left is something to be seen. It could have been worse, I could have had a # neck of femur.
I was discharged with no footwear as my slipper would not fit and nobody asked me how I was getting home. I was asked how I would cope as I live on my own- my reply made little difference. I also had to walk to Xray with a known suspected fracture but I knew that I had broken my toe when the radiographer found me a wheel chair to return me to base! The NHS at its best and my local does not have a good reputation- I wonder why.
Well done Heather - what a match. She should be very proud!
Hope you're recovering now, Jud. That sounds horrendous.
Come on, Heather! What a match!
Soop I have LOTS of photos but have never been able to work out how this site works for posting them. Anyway SIL and DD not keen on their children's photos being on social media, understandably.
Have just flown home from Heathrow Terminal 5 for first time. Easy to negotiate? I obediently stood in queue at Gate 22 for flight to Belfast City as instructed on board but informed when I presented my ticket that this was a DELAYED flight departing 11:20 not the ACTUAL 11:20 flight to Belfast City that I was booked on. Where was mine? Gate 1....the other end of the terminal, and boarding!
Last on, in state of total collapse breathing wise, and had to do the walk of shame to the very back of the (long) aircraft. Why was I the only one to get it so wrong?
Could do with a cuppa
Go, Heather!!! What a girl!
Got Serena on the ropes, I can hardly bear to watch!
kitty May I sample the bakewell slice and a wee taster of carrot cake. Delicious!
Welcome HappyNan I agree that when the time is right you will feel perfectly okay regarding the matter that is concerning you at present. I wish you and your new friend lots of happy shared times together.
Yesterday's match between Rafa and Dustin was THE BEST EVER. It was entertaining from start to finish. I love Rafa. He'll recover from the setback. I can't wait to see more of Dustin. What a star! I hope that he won't be playing against our Andy.
I'm pleased that you have the appointment Ann. Soutra Please keep us updated regarding your appointment.
Judthepud Happy days for you and your family. When you have a photo of your new granddaughter us lot would love to see it in your album...please.
We've been with our pal and my four favourite ladies in the care home. Scottish music was playing and one lady (who rarely opens her eyes) tapped her feet and smiled away to herself. It was good to see her enjoying something other than dozing in front of the television.
Well, I'm not slim (if we are talking buildings here, I'm probably in the castle group!!) and that is despite not being able to eat any of the fabulous stuff she makes as she never does gluten free!
If she did, I'd be Buckingham Palace (I'm crumbling too - do you think I can get taxpayers to contribute to my refurbishment?)
Annsixty you are lucky if it is only a " small house". I have just had a mansion tax demand

Annsixty glad you have your appointment. The waiting is always the worst isn't it ? Fingers crossed all will be well. I have just had a 3Dscan of my eyes cancelled/postponed, and am hoping there is nothing wrong as the Optometrist is a personal friend and I trust her not to postpone if she had cause for concern
kitty how do you stay slim with all that cake around the kitchen all the time. I would resemble a barn, I'm only the size of a small house now.
Good luck Happynan I hope everything works out well for you.
Ok!
Forgot to say that it was nice to see you'd been in Galen, how are you and things?
If he's as nice as you think, he should mention it HappyNan!
Put the kettle on! DD is making cakes for a wedding sweet table tomorrow so I can offer you Millionaire's shortbread, frosted carrot cake, bakewell slices, brownies or that oaty thing (eek, I can't remember what it's called!). She had to do 50 of each but there are plenty of offcuts and singed edges - dig in! She's now making a fire engine cake for someone's birthday!
Flapjack!!!!!!! Phew!

You will know when the moment is right.
Wait till it comes up. ( the subject).
Thought I'd pop into the kitchen to ask for help, i don't want to start a thread about this. I have met a lovely man and things are progressing to where I think we may get down to the the more intimate things. How do I bring up the subject of 'protection' aargh, I just cannot imagine the conversation. I'm not usually so reticent but it's been quite a long time and while
lovely ( I hope) I collapse in a giggling heap at the very thought. I know, am i 60 or 16? How can I and when should I bring this up?
it's ok to laugh, I'm laughing at myself
Well, I did manage to see some of the Nadal match (it was quite exciting yet a bit sad for Rafa) but I'm still put off by his OCD habits. You know which one!
I also had another choc ice when I got home!
I saw most of Nadal's match but felt I had to cook myself some supper because having had an icecream for lunch, I needed something more substantial this evening.
That was the match of the week-Nadal has been so unlucky at Wimbledon over the last few years.
I had never heard of Dustin Brown before- I sure do now and I will try to watch his next match. I cannot believe that he is 30 years old, played that level of tennis tonight and we or at least I have never heard of him before.
Ann that is very good news, at least things are moving.
Jud congratulations- something to look forward to in a couple of weeks time.
Still hooked on the Nadal match. So exciting.
Ann60, so glad to hear that you have appoinments arranged. You don't have so very long to wait now.
Jud, what a wrench for you to have to leave so soon. Two weeks can seem like a year, but maybe you will see the baby on Skype?
Thanks to those who sent the congrats on our new baby granddaughter. I am having to return home to mind DGSs tomorrow morning. So sad to leave the heat and 4 DGCs here in Surrey, especially new baby. Coming back in another 2 weeks though.
