as long as we're together
WOOPS she goes again.
Lah de dah de dah

ALL good friends and jolly good company...
and
of course.
I do hope it all goes well this afternoon soop
janer That is one of the drawbacks of a wedding. Getting the right photographs taken at the right time of the right people...it's all go, isn't it? You seem to get carried along on a tide of activity and after the event think...heck, where did the day go. I always think that the ceremony should be celebrated on one day and the fun and laughter and such should have a second day. I look forward to seeing some of your photos.
I've been with "my ladies" in the care home. Every visit is a treat. Although I have to say that there were a number of new residents. The majority of which, were in an advanced state of dementia. The carers are run off their feet. I applaud the way in which they cope with far too many demands.
MacSporran and I will be returning to Campbeltown hospital this afternoon. He's to have another scan to measure the aortic aneurysm.
The sun is shining and the air is fresh. A lovely first day of autumn.
Last night's sunset was, yet again, too good not to photograph.
soop after the dire weather we have had today, plus the flat feeling after returning from the wedding, I too wish we could join galen even more than I did before she left!
It was an amazing wedding. I shall pop a few photos on tomorrow probably, but I am very tired today and so many were taken. Even so, not enough, I would have liked a video of the whole event, because so much was going on all day and night and it was so beautiful.
Galen You minx! Loveable with it. I wish that I could board your "boat," together with umpteen of our Granspals...jump out from behind a potted plant yelling - "surprise surprise" Wouldn't you just love our refined rowdy company? Go on, admit it.
annsixty It isn't an official Bank Holiday in Scotland but MacSporran pays no attention. We celebrate every Bank Holiday under the sun. Who am I to argue. I can hardly refuse to play the game and ruin his fun.
anno Where have you been? It seems an age since you last popped into our kitchen.
At 11.30 on a Monday washday!! Tut tut. Only
, have a lovely time.
Sitting having a preprandial vodka and tonic in a calm bay of biscay. Temp tomorrow in Vigo is predicted to be 25°C!, it's a hard life on board.
Thinking of all of you!
glamma, that's lovely news. You have the makings of a tribe! I'm quite envious as I won't be having any more GC, but GD1 has always said she wants to make me a GG by the time she's 25, though as she's now got a new job, I don't think she will be making that happen!
Galen, why should we have to behave when we know that you will be having a high old time on the high seas? Have a wonderful time and tell all when you return.
Thanks soop it was definitely a labour of love- poor man.
Have a lovely holiday galen.
Reading talk of art materials makes me wish I could paint. It must be so therapeutic and satisfying. I worked in photography and look at some of my photos and wish I could paint them.
Have a great cruise, Galen.
glamma The one and only time that I went to sea in a big boat was when I was about six years of age. We went to Jersey on S.S. Falais. I had the top bunk and fell out of it when I went to step out of it in the middle of the night as I needed a wee-wee. My parents and sister were horribly sea-sick.
Charleygirl Don's own garden was and remains magnificent. One year it was open to the public. The wee plot in the pic was just a rough patch of ground in the corner of a large expanse of grass. He also made a beautiful pathway to the site. I shall try to find the image.
soop these photos are amazing, especially the garden made from next to nothing but a lot of hard toil and love went into it. A lovely reminder of the fellow who has died.
Mr G sends his appreciation for his virtual award soop he has been preening himself since I told him he is like a prize peacock
Its so good to catch up with everything and get up to date.
Your pics are are so nice that sunset is amazing.
Here's hoping Galen enjoys her cruise and wears her pearls with pride she is an absolute gem,we have had quite a few Cruise Ships leave from Liverpool over the last few weeks all off to far away places wishing I could smuggle away sometimes as they look very grand indeed.
kittylester there is no need to ask whether or not you can visit our kitchen...bless you, you are one of us lot and we wouldn't want it any other way.
Charleygirl and Nellie (((hugs))) galore.
glammanana We shall have to save hard for a few bottles of the finest bubbly. Wow! Lovely, happy news. I can imagine how thrilled you must be. I'm also very pleased to hear that you have fully recovered from nasty break in your shoulder and arm. Well done, Mr glamma...you will be added to our virtual roll-call of kindly husbands.
Crafting I cannot tell you how good it is to have you visit the kitchen. It seems ages since you were last here. We've missed you.
Galen My oh my...it will be soooooooooooooooooo quiet here in our kitchen. Our loss is the "the boat's" gain. Bet that everyone has been forewarned
...should you need back-up you only have to send up a flare and all most of us will launch a lifeboat.
Seriously, have yourself a super-duper cruise.
and lots of fun. x
I am about to add last night's sunset, together with a photo of wild roses in the hedgerow. Also the little garden that our pal who died with a brain cancer helped to cultivate from a patch of bare ground.
Galen Have a lovely time.
Have a super holiday Galen so pleased to hear that you are organised.
Cases are all in the taxi ready for 9.00am start. Southampton sounds busy tomorrow, with Whitewaves Eclipse, Ventura, and the QE all in port plus it's the Southampton boat show and their football team are playing at home.
I anticipate a long queue to get into both the city and port!
Will try to keep in touch when I can!
Make sure you all behave while I'm away. I don't want to return to find out you've all been banned by GNHQ!
I wouldn't dream of posing in the kitchen
what can I have been thinking!
I've not been in posing in the kitchen for a while either. I have popped in for a quick catch up on news but been so busy I've not had time to linger.
Soop lovely photos. Looks like you had a great time.
Galen hope you have a lovely trip
every day.
Bella sorry to hear your sister is getting so frail. It must be so difficult for you to leave her and go home to Malta
I will pop in with goodies next week. Not even had time for virtual shopping recently. Grandma duties have taken up a lot of time - but no complaints it's lovely to have them
Soop Hello my lovely pal I know its ages since I popped virtually into your lovely cosy kitchen and have missed you all madly,I am now able to type again after the dreadful break to the shoulder and arm,I have been looked after and spoilt by mr.glamma he is a star indeed.
I am bursting to tell you our news that a new baby is due in March a little one for my DGS2 and his partner so I will become a GG glamma I know we have lots of GGnana's here but I can feel my age now with me being "mum" to a "nana" (my DD) They have been to-gether since school and have bought a home together both have good employment so all things good for them.
I can't get into profiles to view new pics of meet-up is there a problem as I have not really been paying attention recently. ((hugs to everyone)) xx glamma
Hello all, may I still come in as I haven't visited for quite a while. I've been really busy but think things should calm down now as we have appointed a person who might actually know what they are doing as a co-ordinator in the library and it just remains for the committee to fund raise now.
I'm so glad you all had a lovely meet-up and thank you for the pictures soop. Enjoy your cruise Galen, bring us a nice young waiter back to work in the kitchen.
Janer, I hope you have a wonderful weekend and you have a really thoughtful sister.
Bella, so sorry that your sister is not doing so well. You have had an awful time of it lately, (((Hugs))).
I am tidying my array art materials and such-like. The eBay easel and new board look very inviting. A large new pad of watercolour paper and a few new brushes...I'm all set for my next masterpiece. Am waiting for inspiration.
I shall shortly shut down the computer. It will be time to read the Saturday newspaper. I've completed the course of antibiotics and look forward to a large G&T at six o'clock sharp.
Love to all my Granspals. I shall return after the Sunday morning stroll through the village (stopping to blether with the kindly villagers).
Enjoy your evening.

Bella I'm sorry to hear that your sister is becoming so frail, but thank goodness you've been able to spend time together.xx
Bella I was wondering why you hadn't mentioned your sister. There is little that I can say to comfort you. You have shared some very precious time together since you arrived in the UK. Saying farewell, will be stressful. I wish that it need not be so.
