I always put the milk in the cup first if I'm using a teapot but DH puts the tea in first.
Not sure which is right. Isn't it a throwback to when tea was drunk out of thin china which could be cracked by hot liquid?

I always misjudge how long to leave it to mash so it's either so strong the spoon stands up in it or as weak as dirty dishwater. I put it down to being a coffee drinker who only drinks the occasional cup of tea.
