Yes, my current one was new a few months after I retired. I'd promised myself and had saved for it!

Yes ! Interesting to watch them having to adapt to current times. My, how does one cope without an under butler ? I'm so lucky, I've never had to !

I hate the taste of all alcoholic drinks, so not good for me!

Ooh, difficult. Love marmite on crisp breads or cheese sarnie, jam on scones, so I suppose I don't have a preference

No. I suppose I enjoy looking at foreign stamps but would not collect them.

Had a cycling holiday on Jersey when my children were young. Great way to see the island.

Yes, I have a relative in the film industry so go for personal reasons.

Sometimes treat myself to a bacon buttie after my usual long Sunday morning walk.

What childish thing do you still like to do?

Suck a polo mint without biting it until it's so thin that it snaps soundlessly in half on my tongue

What was the most disappointing holiday you ever had?

I went on a coach company walking holiday in the Lakes. We stayed beside Lake Bassenthwaite, where ospreys were nesting, but time wasn't allowed to go to the veiwing centre. Also some of the walks were scheduled for shopping, my least favourite occupation!

What is your favourite herb?

It is more a case of ones I dont like. I dont like basil and rosemary.
I use "mixed herbs" which apparently is a big gransnet no no!

Which spices do you use?

Coriander, cumin, chilli, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, cardamoms, paprika, mustardseeds, fennel seeds, turmeric, cayenne pepper, cloves, juniper berries, caraway seeds. Have I forgotten anything? Probably! I use spices a lot in cooking

Do you own a DSLR camera?

No but I am thinking of getting one.
