Do you like watching films at the Cinema?

Same here Tanith except that I'm the one who can't tolerate the volume. It actually makes me feel ill! Plus, I find it distorts the sound!

Love the cinema hate the noise, DH and I used to go on saver Tuesday bot he finds it too loud to tolerate so we don't bother I will go on my own if it's something special

We do love the cinema but there aren't that many films we want to see. We like to go during the day usually 11.30 screening when its often empty. We combine it with a shopping trip to JL and then a Frankie and Bennies or Zizzi after. Usually about every two months or so. sadly we have had to give up on the local cinema as DH finds the sound quality difficult to manage with his hearing loss and ear pain. Strangely he does better in a larger cinema that the small one where the sound seems to rebound of the walls. Looking forward to the Bond- love Daniel Craig.

Me too. I really love seeing films on a big screen, and the afternoons are realtively lacking in disruptive people. It's wonderful... I just wish there were more good films to see.

I love going to see a good film at the cinema. We go in the afternoon and its usually almost empty (unless its a Bond film!). There just aren't enough good films!
Also love being able to see theatre/ballet productions on screen.

It's nothing like that at all at our local cinema(s) Charleygirl . I have never once heard a phone ringing or even chattering. Even when I take the DGC to the childrens films the audience are quiet and attentive. Why pay all that money to see a film and then spoil it for yourself and everyone else? I can't understand it.

Nothing beats a good film on the BIG screen 12Michael. Sadly I don't go as often as I would like but it's a real treat when I manage it. Perhaps with the winter approaching it will be something I will do more.

Similar here- it is the quality of the audience that leaves a lot to be desired. Phones ringing, people chatting and worse- an interpreter helping a friend. Not to mention the snap crackle of popcorn. To me it appeared as though some had bunked off from school. I will not be returning anytime soon.

Yes, I do like going to the cinema Michael,we go during the day too, the only thing I dislike though is the extreme loudness of both the music and the dialogue which gets louder each passing year!
