Katek stepping in the cold water must have felt like the last straw. 
I'm going out for afternoon tea tomorrow - we're going at lunchtime! 
I bought it from Groupon and the restaurant is in a lovely shopping and craft village, so I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
A woman I worked with always took a day off on Friday 13th. She had a lot of quirks like that.
As I understand it the superstition arises from the fact that the 13th man at the last supper betrayed Jesus who was then crucified on the Friday before Passover. Why people feel worried about themselves on Friday 13th is a complete mystery to me after all if you are a believer then the fact that Jesus died on the cross for our sins that we might live is the most wonderful gift ever. 
I too have a dental appointment tomorrow - plenty of choice for times as so many people are superstitious and refused appointments on that day/date. It was very fortunate as the crown I'm going in to have replaced actually dislodged itself on Monday night and I have a gaping hole where it was.
My mother did actually refuse to accept an urgent hospital appointment earlier in the year because it fell on Friday 13th.

I'm not superstitious at all really and my mammogram is just the routine one - I hope!
I'm slightly worries though as the cat seems to have gone missing!

I survived the mammogram which seemed less painful than previously. When I remarked on the this, the radiographer said that there was never any need for it to hurt. 
I knew the previous woman and didn't like her - seems the feeling was mutual.
My meeting was good
Hoping everyone else has got off lightly too.
I'm having my hair cut this afternoon - will reserve my judgement on the date until afterwards!

I got to the hairdresser & back in one piece although the heating in the salon had conked out. DH is using the car today so by the time I'd got home (fifteen minute walk from the bus stop) I bore more than a passing resemblance to the abominable snowman!
I washed my hair and got it looking just so. Then went up town on bike and got soaked coming home. And the perishing wind kept blowing my hood off.
Kitty don't forget our boobs get less dense (fat) as we get older, so they don't have to squidge 'em so hard.
Are you saying my boobs are fat jings? You'd be right!!
