Hello Petra. I walk in southend a few times in the summer. I get the X30 to bus station then walk to Leigh on sea along the sea front. Or walk from Shoeburyness to southend. Always have fish and chips and a Rossi. Thanks for your feedback on my thread. Val

Sounds good, we can pencil it in. A bit far off to make definite arrangements at the moment. I wonder if there are any more Chelmsfordians and whether we can meet with the Colchesterians sometime.

H'mm! I was born in Little Baddow. I live in Sussex now but think of myself as an Essex Girl.

I used to live in Springfield. I must say the Gransnet local site for Chelmsford is brilliant - I'm using it as a role model for the South Leicestershire site.

Daisy - you can take girl out of Essex, but you cant take the Essex out of the girl eh ?

That is a shame its a brilliant site it must have taken hours of work to get all that information on there. Its taking me ages to do a few at a time and that one is very well established.

I could give it a go, but wonder how much time it would take to keep it running well. I work four days a week so don't have loads of spare time.

Pittcity, do you have any idea of what it takes it time/effort.

Lellyb a local editor can spend as much or as little time on the site as they wish. I run both Colchester and the Essex site, so the Chelmsford editor can concentrate on the City. As the site is already well populated it will be a case of keeping an eye on what's put on there and encouraging others to add stuff. GNHQ will back you up. Drop them an email and give it a go.
