These nativity actors are so lovely. Unfortunately I could not get to GS's nativity as they were limited to 2 tickets per family because the school does not have much space - but a DVD is on its way I hope. Last year the person oidng the DVD forgot to switch it on!

Haven't even started yet!
Strangely enough, my sil and myself were both saying on Saturday night how much we'd like a train set with a proper layout!Darling daughter has nicked borrowed my Duchess of Montrose and my tank engines

A chilly good Monday afternoon to our Kitcheners. Our Galen has the perfect excuse to go "boating" on the high seas. I trust that you are packed (including pearls) and as good as ready to be piped aboard. tchgrin

The wee chalet under which Tortoiseshell cat tries to make a cosy home, is a bit worse for wear. We have ordered a suitable wooden kennel, about the right size for a cat. MacSporran will cover the floor with something to keep in the warmth...she'll also have a cosy igloo, inside which she can snuggle, when the weather gets very much colder.

I've as good as wrapped all the gifts and, they are on their way to family. Our local post office remains closed (flood damage) so we went to the next village.

Torben is having a Hornby OO train set for Christmas. I've been trawling through scores of marvellous engines and the prices made my eyes water. However, we have now chosen a Caledonian train with van together with a railway engine crane on special offer. MacSporran tells me that he would like a train set. He even suggested selling his piano in order to raise the money and to afford the space that we'd need. Nothing will come of it. It's a pipe dream. tchwink

Aw! Beautiful shepherds. Man-size Kleenex required.

A very cold but dry day in bonnie Kintyre. I am toying with the idea of treating feral tortoiseshell cat (Rory's daughter) to a snug kennel. What peeves me is that some suppliers will not post to Scottish Islands...including our address on the mainland.

You will have lots more chances Alea this is my youngest. I have been going to GC's now for 14 years and I realised it was 46 years for the first time and this one was at that same school.

Alea Sun 13-Dec-15 08:02:21

Aren't they wonderful!!

youtu.be/9CJFt7BZKUU

Kleenex at the ready!

annsixty Sun 13-Dec-15 06:32:01

And here is mine. That is not chocolate!! It is a beard.

Lona Sat 12-Dec-15 22:47:44

He looks so angelic Alea ?

Alea Sat 12-Dec-15 22:07:52

Have a wonderful time*Galen-*, and spare us a thought shivering and dripping here!!

Just wanted to show off little DGS as a shepherd, so wish I could have been there to see him, but life is too complicated at the moment.

Galen Sat 12-Dec-15 21:37:53

Thanks

Nelliemoser Sat 12-Dec-15 17:59:21

Galen Have a lovely time.

soop Sat 12-Dec-15 17:46:16

Elegran You have a way with words...tchgrin

I've managed quite a bit of wrapping and stuff. The lady that I visit in the care home, told me that she has lost her scarf (a birthday gift from me)...I scanned the room and saw another lady proudly wearing said scarf. No way could I ask her to return it to it's rightful owner. Far too churlish. I've found a replacement (not identical) and am about to write and stitch "my" lady's name on to the label. tchwink

Well, it's nearing G&T time. I need to have a wee. Haven't had time since before lunch. Keep meaning to go...better do so soon.

I am sending love to you all, especially those who need comforting.

Elegran Sat 12-Dec-15 16:23:12

They'll get frost-bitten nipples.

soop Sat 12-Dec-15 15:49:28

anno tchwink

Photo of the snow-capped Paps of Jura. Taken just this morning.

Charleygirl Sat 12-Dec-15 15:17:10

soop I totally agree, Tara is here only for B&B and evening meal.

Loopylou I have no idea what happened to my spelling, apologies.

annodomini Sat 12-Dec-15 13:13:20

I know you'll behave impeccably, Galentchwink but once you two get together in the spring, all bets are off. The weather here is as dreich as it could be. Raining non-stop. I was going to have a duvet day, or at least a long lie, but the window cleaner turned up again, this time to clear the leaves out of my guttering, so that was more folding money gone! I can't imagine that there's anything else to bring him back this year! And now the postie has been with my latest cosy Woolovers jumper - a lovely blue shade that reminds me of my school blazer! I really must stop internet shopping. Mustn't I?

soop Sat 12-Dec-15 12:51:01

A bright but chilly good afternoon to all our lovely Kitcheners. the islands look beautiful and the peaks are snow-capped. MacSporran has taken a photograph. I shall share with you later.

Bella and Galen...what's to say? You two will have a ball aboard that classy boat. I can well imagine you being waited on by handsome crew members...sipping cocktails...lying in the warm sunshine...Oh boy! I wish that us lot could join you. tchgrin

Charleygirl It is cold but it's also dry and sunny. Rory is fast asleep (yet again) upon his outsize feather cushion. Tara is a right little madam...as my late Papa would say...treats this house like a hotel...he was referring to me, way back in the "olden days".

How are you, Nellie? You're in my thoughts. Harrigran too.

Galen Sat 12-Dec-15 12:44:21

I'm off with Bella in June. I'm off on my own on Queen Victoria for Xmas. Leave on Thursday. I'll start thinking about packing on Monday ???⚓️

Charleygirl Sat 12-Dec-15 12:31:13

loupyloo I could not agree more re cabin size!

I could live there very comfortably on a permanent basis! Galen I do hope that the pair of you have a great time- please do not give the crew too much of a run around.

soop I hope that it is not too cold and windy in your neck of the woods. Please make sure that Rory is warm and dry. It must have been too windy and cold here for Tara as she has popped home for a few hours shut eye.

loopylou Sat 12-Dec-15 12:23:01

Have an absolutely wonderful time Galen & Bellasnana (tiny cabin my a..e!)
Heaven help the crew tchgrin with you two on the loose!
? ? ? ? ?

Nelliemoser Sat 12-Dec-15 12:17:37

Galen I had the idea you and Bellasnana were going off crusing at Christmas. Is that true or it it me getting all confused?

Galen Sat 12-Dec-15 12:04:34

Booked it last year. Going with Bellasnanna on Royal Princess.
If you want to see our tiny cabin, Google Royal Princess suite no M722. There's a utube film of a similar one!
Should be fun!

Luckygirl Sat 12-Dec-15 11:43:09

Do I take it you have booked another cruise galen? Must be great to have that to look forward to.

I too am dreaming of the summer, having just received the St David's festival programme - I am a patron and go every year. I am happily planning which concerts I will go to. It is my only real opportunity to enjoy live concerts and I look forward to this orgy of music every year. "The Sixteen" will be there - wonderful!

Galen Sat 12-Dec-15 11:06:12

Just think of the summer and th delights of the E Med. No cooking or cleaning for 2/52. Just relaxing in the sun and being waited on hand and foot.( that's if you book a manicure and pedicure)

Bellasnana Sat 12-Dec-15 10:54:42

Oh here you are! It's so long since I popped in that you have opened another kitchen extension. Good to catch up with your news, although deeply sorry to hear about harrigran. Too many are struck by this cruel disease and my heart goes out to them all as well as their families. There is no easy way through it and a lot of strength is needed. flowers

Not much news from here. Still in limbo waiting for the moving date to be finalized. Have begun a very desultory attempt at packing things up, chucking out etc. My heart isn't in it and I tell myself I will spring into action after New Year. We shall see tchhmm

Love to all sunshine
