A chilly good Monday afternoon to our Kitcheners. Our Galen has the perfect excuse to go "boating" on the high seas. I trust that you are packed (including pearls) and as good as ready to be piped aboard.
The wee chalet under which Tortoiseshell cat tries to make a cosy home, is a bit worse for wear. We have ordered a suitable wooden kennel, about the right size for a cat. MacSporran will cover the floor with something to keep in the warmth...she'll also have a cosy igloo, inside which she can snuggle, when the weather gets very much colder.
I've as good as wrapped all the gifts and, they are on their way to family. Our local post office remains closed (flood damage) so we went to the next village.
Torben is having a Hornby OO train set for Christmas. I've been trawling through scores of marvellous engines and the prices made my eyes water. However, we have now chosen a Caledonian train with van together with a railway engine crane on special offer. MacSporran tells me that he would like a train set. He even suggested selling his piano in order to raise the money and to afford the space that we'd need. Nothing will come of it. It's a pipe dream.
