DD getting some help putting up her Christmas tree

Am I right in thinking it is a Bengal cat? Mine is full of mischief too! I don't have a proper tree, just a 12" one on the window sill.

It is a little stray that SIL brought home with his little sister when their Mother abandoned them near his work, the one in the photo has Bengal markings but the other one is stripy.

It will have the baubles off the tree before you can say Jack Robinson.

The only year we had a real tree (going back a while) it was a 6' beauty.
We came home one night to find it pulled over and baubles from one end of the 26' lounge/diner to the other.
We didn't see the cat until the next day !

A little water pistol works wonders (apparently) - used every time they go near it!

Here is my solution to the cat/puppy/toddler GC problem around Christmas trees!

I used to do that with our tree, DS would squeeze the glass baubles and I got sick of replacing them.

DD has tried the gate round it they just jumped straight to the top !!!!! She is going to have fun this year, still when she was very little and had her first kitten, the kitten went up the very large real tree and she followed. It took us an hour to get her out of the branches.^

Most cats will make short work of that Jud, mine would anyway, cats are very determined. Our first Christmas married, the tree, an artificial one, was in the middle of the large old fashioned dining table. We`d recently acquired a kitten, Smokey, who took great delight in tapping at the baubles, which invariably flew off, and not one landed on the carpet, they all landed on the stone floor surrounding the carpet! We replaced, I think, nearly every bauble that year.

My cat is 14 and not the jumper he once was. It is to stop Him from eating the tinsel. This is really for the pup who is at the chewing and eating everything stage. She is too little yet to tackle the height. This is in her 'bedroom', once known as the sun room. The temptation would have been too great.

I keep hearing baubles tinkling on my stairs, but each time I investigate Saffron tries to look innocent! I suspect it is only a matter of time before damage is done!
