Toyota Yaris recalls

I've got an old one, and it's never been recalled and works like a dream- a proper little trooper.

Mine is 12 years old and I have been advised and called in for two recalls. One or two only applied to cars newer than mine.

I have not had any problems with recalls. I usually get asked to bring my car into the garageabout 3 or 4 months after I have been notified of the recall. It is nearly a year since my airbag recall was dealt with.

I think your dealer is putting you off. Look up the address of Toyota's HQ in the UK and write and complain.

DD has a '54 plate second hand one, do I need to forward this to her ?

Google Toyota recalls and put in her number plate. It will then say if it should be on the recall list.

tiggy I received a letter in October telling me that mine will be recalled re the airbag. A year seems a long time though!

DD' s car is affected what happens re second hand vehicles ?

My Toyota Yaris was bought second-hand. I have been notified and called in for all relevant recalls.

Forgot to say: The car manufacturers use the DVLA database to inform people of recalls so the recall letter will go to the registered owner of the car.
