Good morning Starbird .
It's 5.45 am in Scotland - very icy looking out,the car looks frozen . I've got my heating on but there are wafts of cold air coming down the stairs . Hot coffee and toast , quick hot bath then out to work ! Why have you not gone to bed ?

Very cold and frosty, but bright and clear for a change. Temp in car on the way home from work was -1.5°c. DH has appt. for an eye test at Asda this morning, I might go with him if I warm up a bit!

Last night, I tottered back from a council meeting through gusting driving sleet, snow with slippy wet slush underfoot. Warnings of floods and evacuation along the coast. Horrible. This morning it's very overcast and very still and the roads are just wet. It is cold out, but no frost in here in Norfolk. The weather seems very confused!

I'm off to art class this morning so I'm pleased there's no snow to drive through.

Warfarin clinic early afternoon then shopping which means taking H with me. Not an enjoyable task,he talks to everybody and the peculiar sense of humour he has developed isn't appreciated by everyone

Good morning everyone. The sun is shining here in South Yorkshire, but it is bl***y cold. We are planning on a walk over the moors today, but not sure if i wouldn't rather stay in bed with the duvet over my head!! Whatever you're doing, enjoy it.

Good morning from sunny Norfolk. A sprinkling of snow in garden and ice on cars. Have just discovered this thread - new to the site. Off work a couple of days feeling bit poorly so thought would chat on here. Feeling bit guilty being off work - not usually unwell. Just downloaded a new book onto the kindle. Expecting daughter and small grandson over later. Hope nobody out there too badly affected by the cold weather today. Have a good day everyone.

It might be cold but at least there's a blue sky here in Essex !! Makes a change to not have all the house lights on ! Its DH's birthday dinner tomorrow and as we usually theme our family dinners its 'Food I saw on the Internet' !!

Could go either way in my opinion so off to get the ingredients for my 4 mini desserts. Just grateful its not my turn for the main course !!

It's freezing and cloudless - proper winter for a change.

Morning from the South Downs. Cars frosted but garden not touched. Going to warm up again next week so that is winter over with! A week is quite long enough.

Good Morning from cold but sunny Surrey - cars covered with frost this morning, first real one here. Heard that the space walk is being streamed from NASA TV from 1pm but not sure if we'll be able to get it on computer - from 1pm. Going shopping but must be back to try it! (Tho don't think will see all 6 or so hours).

Good morning, bright and sunny here but still sub-zero. Snow hard packed and frozen into ruts. I am in isolation, trying not to get any more bugs as hospital has confirmed my operation will go ahead on 20th.
