Twelve family members were expected for lunch on Dec 27th. I was recovering from a fractured ankle bone so planned to make it easy for myself and so enjoy their company. Two weeks before Christmas I ordered online and paid for a large piece of (nitrate free ) gammon to serve cold with all the trimmings. On
Christmas Eve I was still waiting its arrival and the company was on answerphone. ( I had to shop late on Christmas Eve for an alternative).
When I complained the company explained by email that it was human error and gave me a refund. I expected at least a verbal apology. Are my expectations too high?
