I saw this on the BBC News Magazine page and found it heartening. I know someone will say 'another actor wallowing in his own glory' but I don't see it like that. The US prison system is awful and this project appears to do something to help a few inmates so I think we should be pleased...

If it helps just one then well worth it . I doubt Tim Robbins needs publicity , hardly an out of work actor or a wannabe is he

Totally agree. And no, he doesn't need the attention but I suppose it always helps to have someone high profile behind these projects. Long may they continue - the US system is appalling.
