I need one now and can't get to a store atm so need to buy online.

My specs are that it must be lightweight, easy to fold and put in the trunk of a taxi, have a detachable pannier or something for shopping and, finally, I really want a red onegrin

Any ideas, please?

Hello kate and thank you for your welcome(and the flowers, and the wine..)

Cheers!

I'm hoping that someone will come along later to tell me about their walking aid. So many to choose from, but I can't find any product reviewssad

Welcome ALishka .
I too am going to need one before long and when I mentioned this to the Consultant he advised me to get one with four wheels. Much more stable apparently. Have a look at careco.co.uk. They have s good selection and when I just had a quick look I saw a red one.
Hope this helps.

Hi daffy and nice to meet you. I'm swayed towards a 3 wheeler because I've seen how well they fold down for taxis, crowded cafes, pubs. etc.. Just now I only need a, well, steadying third hand? If that makes any sense. I don't actually need to put any weight on it as such. I'll certainly check out the careco site. Thanks for that.

I bought one for my aunt for her 90th birthday a couple of weeks ago. It was from Amazon and cost £42.90 reduced from £105 (allegedly)

She's only had it a couple of weeks but loves it.

It's Days 240L lightweight aluminium folding 3-wheel triwalker and has lockable brakes and a carry bag. Hope that's a help and welcome.

Bought from Amazon!

Express delivery, a Days 240L, and it's RED

Thank you so much, Anya

I have a four wheeled rollator and a three wheeled rollator. The three wheeled one is so much easier and it just folds in half. We keep it on the back seat of the car but I think it would fit in the boot if necessary. It has been so useful and I use it all the time except when I go into the supermarket when I use their trolley to hold on to. I bought my rollator off Amazon. It will give you the dimensions. There is also Indpendant suppliers who sell online, it's worth a look. Also I'm sure they will answer any queries you have regarding folding and dimensions.

Good luck. I'm sure if you get one you won't look back. Welcome to Gransnet.

Sorry, I didn't realise you had bought one. Good luck with it and enjoy it. Enjoy the freedom it will give you.

Thanks anya for the recommendation, so much choice out there so it was invaluable.

Well, my Day's walker arrived early this morning, was only halfway through my first mug of tea shock. Nicely packed, simple to assemble, only needed fitting the handles to suit my height, tighten the screws, snip off the protective polythene on the wheels and then...ready to go!

The red isn't as red as I'd like, more of a burgundy colour, but once I've customised it with flash stripes that beat-up cars have to make them go fasterwink and some other stuff (sparkly and pink, perhaps?) it'll suit really well. Oh, do you think I should fit a bell or a horn, perhaps?,just as a warning that this Old Lady is on the rampage, like grin

Again, thanks everyone for the welcome and good thoughts smile

Hope you manage to get out and about as planned Alishka.
Can you knit or crochet? Here are some ideas for jazzing up your rollator grin
