N Kent is grey too pavements are dry but it's just starting to rain.
H will be working in the garage today so I shall have to find some jobs to do.

It's raining here in North Leicestershire. This morning Ive got to open and close the library but I'm not actually doing a shift.

Morning All. Feels cold in our corner of Somerset. Early sun has disappeared, grey clouds building. Volunteering today so not too worried about the weather. Hope Saturday is kind to you.

Tearful old twit this morning !
I had a new bathroom installed yesterday ( council renovation) , everything went wrong , the team were here until 8.30 pm . Big noisy mess to tackle once my neighbours wake up . The bath's dangerous , doesn't fit me , I'm mourning the loss of my old cast iron sanctuary , all the fittings are leaking , carpets have been relaid badly - I feel battered ,dirty and lost !
It'll be fine though once I get cleaned up , stick on anti slip things and make friends with it all !
Damp and miserable outside too !

Good morning from Staffordshire-DH says it's dull is hand has been raining overnight.
Poor you, tired, are they coming back to finish off/check all ok? It will be fine once you're used to it. I suppose it's meant to be an improvement?
We had 2 DGC for a sleepover last night aged 6 and 7-great fun
They've just stirred so off for breakfast now.
At 9.30 I'll,pick up their elder sister, home from uni til tomorrow, who's doing housekeeping at a local hotel. She can drive our car there then I'll carry onto to last choir rehearsal with orchestra before tonight's concert-Vaughan Williams IN Windsor Forest and Some of Eric Whitacre's Light and Gold

I hate home improvement too tow, nothing ever seems to go right. Messy and never ending.
I am going into town this afternoon as there is tasting of Tiptree's new strawberry gin in Williams and Griffin. See you all there?

Good morning from sunny Manchester! Yes we do have sun - not always raining - at least not yet! Been away for 2.5 weeks so meeting up with family and baby grandson for lunch in a nice pub. Nice way to spend an afternoon

But its been a morning for good news, we welcomed 2 new babies into the world when we woke up - Sophia Grace and William Sean - friends of our daughters. So there will be a mad flurry of baby clothes purchasing this morning.

I'm sorry ToW it all went so horribly wrong . If you're not happy with it all i.e. carpet fitting- do complain !! You're entitled to have it back to how it was. Hope the tidying makes it all seem a little better x

Moan away tow and don't put up with a shoddy job,make your local councillor come and look at it if you are not happy.

I have to completely empty the kitchen this weekend in preparation for my new one ???
Not sure what/how in will cook next week so plenty of excuses for going to the pub methinks !

Good morning, grey and damp this morning. Waiting to see if GC are visiting before I plan my day.

Get and damp here as well (SE Cornwall). Shopping and cooking (I only do weekends, DH does the weekdays) then I can get busy sewing three Edwardian bathing dresses ready for our concert in May.

Good Morning. A little late posting but have already cleared up and been down to the local shops. Sun and cloud at the moment here in N. Bucks.
Pudding to make for dinner with friends tomorrow and off to the theatre this evening.

Have done all my cleaning up after my workmen of yesterday , the family have visited to see the new bathroom and have passed it as ok . We all had chocolate cake and coffee so feeling happier now . Thanks for everyone's commiserations !
