A friend's OH recently told her she looked like 'that Greek singer' in her new specs. She was quite put out that he thought she resembled Demis Roussos

Maggiemaybe I know what that feels like! All my children are exceptionally handsome/pretty (not me boasting, just fact). My husband was from the middle east so I believe it comes from his side. When I am out with any of them and introduced as their mother I can see quick surprised looks between our faces. Even my lovely DiL sometimes preens herself when told how good looking her husband is, until I remind her "I made him"

When I first met my DH, he was always being told he looked like Vince Hill - remember him?

Back in the sixties I had long black hair and wore black rimmed specs and was always called Nana after Nana Mouskiri, the greek pop singer. Not sure if it was a compliment or not.

My dear hubby has a slight resemblance to John Thaw, I look a bit like Valerie Singleton, but friends tell us we are like Donald and Jaqueline, (from Benidorm) especially if he puts a straw hat on , ha ha !

When I used to keep my hair off my face with a hairband I got told I looked like Lauren Bacall. I've also been likened to Charlotte Rampling and, back when I wore dark framed glasses, Nana Mouskouri

i'm told i look like su pollard............................ at the football match i get used to the chant HI De Hi...................... i was once asked for my autograoph so signed.. su pollard.... i have met her and told her i had impersonated her... she was quite chuffed....

DS2 ,who is autistic, insists one of my neighbours looks like Mrs Goggins. I'm dreading the day that she sees an episode of Postman Pat!!

I am apparently another one who looks like Helen Mirren. So many random people tell me so. I would be thrilled if I believed it to be true.

A few weeks ago, on a Bridge weekend a lady said to me 'have you ever been told you look like Leslie Garrett(opera singer) and I said 'no' your the first and she said 'you must have been' no never, but it did answer the question when I am out and about I sometimes get a smile as though the person knows me. When I was younger it has gone from Chris Evert(tennis player) Vince Hill!! yep and Princess Diana. I put it down to a 'common face' hehe

When I was a teenager with puppy fat, it was Pat Phoenix! When I was older and slimmer, it was Rula Lenska. Now, I'm invisible.

People used to say I looked like Julie Walters. That was before I got fat and she went grey.I'm grey but colour it. Im not sure if that's a compliment or not. Lots of my younger sons friends say he looks like a taller blonder prince Harry. He's not to pleased. I'd upload a picture but it's too technical for me.
