As I said on another thread, she was a brilliant writer with an eye for the faintly ridiculous, has been described as a female Alan Bennet with her acute observations of social niceties and awkwardness, but with never a touch of nastiness. In Dinner Ladies for example....' they didnt have any strawberry yoghurt so I got you a meat and potato pie'...grin

Somehow this one passed me by. It is pricelss!
I feel so sad she is gone, the general public have lost a lot, but her own family and social circle must feel so bereft.
