Thank you so much for your response to my joyful news. This is one of the things I love about Gransnet that we can share our good news as well as getting advice and support when times are difficult.
Mother and baby are fine plus today is my birthday and we are having a family get together at the weekend to introduce her to everyone.

Wonderful news daffy! Congratulations to everyone. The mum and dad must be so relieved. My DD1 had 2 miscarriages before her little boy was born, fine and healthy. It makes the baby so special after all the disappointment. I believe the current name for this is 'rainbow baby'

So pleased for you all, especially with all of the problems you faced, a perfect result. My son and daughter-in-law have been having problems so we are hoping that they too will be celebrating one day...but you never know what life has in store for you.

Luckily that wasn't the case, although of course I know he would have loved either sex
