Good morning, bright and sunny day here. Both of my sisters are coming to collect me and we are going out for lunch, DH is on standby in case I can't stay the course.

So beautiful yesterday and again today, it's very hard to believe that it was snowing in London and the South East just over a week ago, but that's England for you! Today I have ventured outside with my washing for the first time this year. Making the most of the wonderful and long may it last.

Yesterday was divine -sat in the garden with book and walked the dog for the first time without a coat and sandely type shoes.

It's a bright sunny start in North Leicestershire and today I have Sainsbury's and a visit to mum.

I'm really, really excited as Waitrose is opening in the next village today although I intend avoiding the rush and visiting tomorrow!

I may vote for a PCC!

It's been really quite hot today for Autumn here – 21°C – and it happens to be both my birthday and that of Gransnet. Happy birthday to both of us but it is surprising how we have grown older so fast!
