Alea. Yes! It does play havoc with forward planning! We spent a few hours in hospital today waiting for blood results, but were told the anti-b levels were too high, so no I.v. today - come back tomorrow. The ultrasound done yesterday is being discussed with Guys and a visit there to happen next month. Ah. Prednisolone. I took it just recently for pneumonia. Happy days! Summer is a cumen and hopefully we can all rejoice in those long, warm days, and bask in better health. Hope your DH keeps well. I'm sure baby Flynn is giving you all lots of joy. And all the best to everyone else too who is suffering one way or another.

Just caught up with today. for all with health worries, or any worries. I also had the heating on last night without a qualm. If I'm cold on it goes! I'm concerned about a son who is working far too hard and looks ill. Like Alea just wish I could fix it. Been tidying their garden which he is fretting about and now giving the little one tea as Mum and Dad have had a couple of hours adult time. It helps - but it isn't fixed! Will someone tell me why I am so worried about the little ones tea? How many times have I fed a child. Have they all survived? . Lovely sunny day here today. Hoping for the same tomorrow when it's home to the dreaded paperwork. My least favourite thing - would rather clean the oven! Take care everyone. Hope the difficulties seem less tomorrow.

As the weather is lovely I hope soop is enjoying a leisurely return journey with a nice tea somewhere.

Just had to retype that as the dog decided he could close my iPad with his nose like he does with my book when he wants attention.

charleygirl I wish he had time to do something with my garden ? He has had to give up his part-time work with Beechgrove garden as it is. Yes, we are all very proud of him, another one who struggled in his teens and has now come good.

Tizliz I definitely think that it has been worth the wait if he had struggled earlier. You never know, he may surprise you and help but I would have thought that doing that type of work at such a high level, he would want a rest I have a feeling that you will be on your own!

Galen the sun is shining here and we will be very unlucky if we get a mild shower. The washing machine is in overdrive as usual.

It's one of those nothing days here, no sun, no rain ,no wind, nothing!
So, I've decided to go under the beds, and hoover, dust and wipe the paintwork in the bedrooms.
This house was built around 1880, and I'm sure they incorporated extra dust just to keep me busy
If only the sun would appear, then I would have to go out!

Lona feel free to come here, drinking a cup of coffee sitting in the garden would be very pleasant- much better than getting rid of dust. If you feel like wiping the paint work while you are here, I will not stop you.

A rare day with the house to myself as DH his having 2 units of blood in the local hospital Planned Care Unit (a brilliant concept) so I have got a to-do list as long as my arm!!
First was a quick trip to M&S to take advantage of their " buy one get one half price" offer to refresh my linen trouser cache ( not on the list)
Next thing not on the list is another cup of coffee and a quick check-in to the Kitchen.
I love making lists which I then ignore
My sympathies to all who are laid low one way or another,wishing you comfort and cheer and if that doesn't work, ☕️? or even ????!!

I do hope that caring for Grace is on the list! I would hate to think that she did not get her 23 hours sleep each day- that dog is exhausted.

She is beautiful but I have never seen Grace standing on four feet.

Think my dogs are still on GMT. Walk is never earlier than 12.30 but it is 11.30 and Anlon is looking hopeful. He is actually quite a lazy dog and not very keen on chasing a ball but he does like a walk.

Tizliz that dog is handsome. He also looks as though he has been well groomed. How old is he?

Good morning all!!

Safely arrived in Cape Coral and after 3 weeks of go go go , we are settled into a very relaxing routine. Breakfast on the lanai, with a view across the waterways behind the pool( which is looking invitingly!)

The family made it home although they all miss the weather and pool as it is raining with them! I think the flight went well with both boys actually falling asleep during take off and sleeping for 6 hours of the 8 hours flight. I believe Jackson was upset on waking and finding that he had missed dinner ( the boy likes his food) and all credit to the Virgin staff they rustled him up a snack plate from Upper Class which his mum and dad were envious of!!

Seeing you dog pics Alea and Tizliz makes us miss our boy , despite him being in very good hands. Makes you wonder what he thinks is going on! His stand in family sent us a picture of him looking like a avert sad spaniel although we know that's his usual look.

Grampys bout is improving but there will need to be some changes when we return home. It would seem what he thought was arthritis was in fact minor bouts of gout so it's been going on a while.

I hope all those with poorly husbands or who are feeling poorly themselves are feeling lots better.

Time for a dip for me I think :-) x

Charleygirl he is now (unbelievably) 7 years, he could enter the veteran class at Crufts! Grooming is a pain, they really need a good go every week, but I can't do it because of my arthritis. They have double coats. He was brushed properly about 2 weeks ago. He always looks good but my other dog has a very long coat and only looks good for about an hour after brushing.

I am sure that Grace only needs a wipe down with a damp cloth, though I think she probably sheds a lot - Alea?

I could so easily be accused of dog napping as those three are so cute. Such a pity I do not live close to any of you.

Enjoy your rest, GranaandGrampy you will also be home in no time. So pleased to hear that the two boys slept through most of the flight because entertaining them for so long could be problematic. Jackson was fortunate that the cabin staff were so understanding- anyway, it was less food for them to dispose of, Jackson helped enormously.

The weather here remains very sunny- I have no objections.

I can't believe how alike Grace and my dog Sophie are. Except sophies got a scruffy coat!

Ta dah! Wanders into our kitchen and is bowled over by the amount of catching up that I must and shall do by the end of the afternoon.

To all our Kitcheners with health issues to concern them...I shall respond to each of you a little later.

The journey to Glasgow (yesterday) was rather tiring. Almost eight hours in total. Parking at Gartnavel took just short of 30 mins. ECG and other tests. All good results. Ready for the procedure which was promised before June 6th.

Home to a message on the answer phone. Our friend whose husband we visit in the care home has had a further major stroke. He's been taken to Oban hospital for a brain scan. Our friend is extremely distressed. The villagers have rallied. She has been offered assistance...such as a daily dog walk for her ageing Labrador. We can only wait and hope for better news.

I pointed the camera through the car window as we crossed the bridge in Inveraray. The photo is of the Duke of Argyll's beautiful castle.

soop so pleased to hear that everything went well but that was a very long day. You will have a better night's sleep tonight, less stress. A long day for Rory, he must have been wondering if he was ever going to be fed, watered and cuddled again.

I'm very hot and bothered at the moment. The weather turned from boring to warm and sunny shortly after I'd pulled all the bedroom furniture out and started cleaning!
Anyway done now and a cuppa calls.
Charley the survey is done and all the paperwork has gone out to the buyer. I just have to wait ...... and think positive thoughts!

Lona this is when I cross the toes also. What a performance to sell a house but it will be worth it in the long run. You will be well settled before the dreaded word winter arrives.

soop I hope you mean the return journey was 8 hours, not each way. Even then it is a long day, but glad it was good results.
