Yes please, Gagagran. I'm in the warm half of the country. A long, cold drink is what I need. Having said that, I should be in the garden, but can't detach myself from this very good match between Andy and Wawrinka. So far, rain has not stopped play - good news for Parisians as well as the tennis players and spectators.

That was excellent Gagagran you can sit for days contemplating how to spend that win!!!! I think my biggest win ever was £500 and that was so long ago now.

A friend of mine bought the full amount last month as she had extra cash. Like me until now she has won £25s, mainly x3. I wonder if she will win more now that she has £50,000.

We had light, not sunshine here for around 5 minutes- I give up.

Brandy snaps are rather inviting and I do not care if they do not "go" with mulled wine- a little of what you fancy does you good.

Thank you for all the belated birthday wishes, it wasn`t a "special" one, just 73.
I did a load of hand washing earlier, got soaked hanging them on the line, decided to go upstairs to change out of wet clothes, and the pesky stairlift conked out halfway up! It`ll come down, but won`t go up anymore. And they can`t send anyone to it till tomorrow.

I hope you aren't still sitting there number like Peter Kay in Phoenix Nights. I hope you can all tell that I have cheered up since I decided to start posting again!!.

The sun continues to shine. Campbeltown looked lovely today. I shall add a photo or two to show you the famous Campbeltown Loch.

Our pal in the care home was confined to his bed. However he seemed so much brighter. His cheeks were rosy. He held a perfectly good conversation with us. When we left, we had a smile on our faces. Tomorrow, is his wife's birthday. She'll be visiting him. There can be no better birthday present for her, than to see him comfortable and fully aware of his surroundings.

Soop I've done my best with my clothes but it's those drawers full of 'useful bits' and screwdrivers and pens and paper clips! I know that I will need them!

The young lady who is buying (fingers crossed) my house came today with her partner. They are really delightful and she is very excited. I gave her a hug and told her that I'm very stressed and we all got on like a house on fire! Hopefully they'll give their solicitors a nudge!
Maybe I'll get some sleep tonight!

Found from a Facebook entry this am that sil is in hospital following a fit caused by a high temperature caused by an inner ear infection!
Darling daughter is having to manage the 2 dgds with help from her in laws. I'm leaving at 3.30 am tomorrow to join Bellasnanna on cruise.
I'm feeling very guilty, but can't see what I can do to help much.

It is awful to be torn, but if her MIL is willing and able to step in, just be grateful. She would probably want to be near to visit her son anyway. Don't beat yourself up!
6 years ago it has half term week and in the space of 3 days, Grace was diagnosed with a serious eye condition, DH got one of his liver infections and was admitted to the Royal Free, DD2 came off her bike at the big Elephant and Castke roundabout and DD1 who was 7 months pregnant was in Selly Oak had a suspected DVT . And I was due to take an Exchange trip to Germany, and because it was half term I was unable to find anyone to go in my place.
Grace went to kennels with her eye drops, DH was safely tucked up in a hospital bed, DD2 was bruised but not injured and DD1 didn't have a DVT after all. So I went to Germany prepared to fly home at short notice if anthing became serious.
That was also the week I decided to retire.

Thanks darling! Made me feel easier. I'll ring them tomorrow from on board! Should be about 15.00hrs your time so they may have news. If necessary I can always fly home I suppose.

If he gets better, his mum can fuss over him and then go home, if it gets serious, you fly home, but of course I hope it is the former As I said, don't beat yourself up!

Annsixty, if the flipping stairlift hadn`t been able to go down, if not up, I would have been doing a Peter Kay! The contrary thing will go up if nobody is on it, but as soon as any weight is on it, it grinds to a halt, yet it comes down in the normal manner.
Lovely photos once again Soop, Campbeltown Looch looks lovely in the sunshine. Have you ever been out to Davaar island? We always said we`d go, but never did.
