I've moved many times in my life and I have always found the removal men absolute angels. They realise that it is a very stressful time for their clients. I've never had anything damaged but have lost a few keys from old bookcases and bureaus so put them somewhere safe that you will remember. They are experts at packing because they do it all the time, and would do it far quicker and better than you. But they do expect a tip......
