Mum always said break a match, though I'd be hard pressed to find a box of matches these days. Maybe an item of crockery that you're not so keen on.

Ouch for your H Nina. Sounds painful. Being without hot water a real bummer too. Like you I would be waiting for strike number 3 but hope it's something really trivial. I wonder where that superstition comes from - the Bible maybe? In any case have a safe day!

Have they managed to sew the finger tip back, I shoved my finger in my circular bench saw, hospital did a miraculous job on it, apart from a lack of feeling it is now perfect.

GandTea Yes of course we women are selfish. We have to learn to understand how much men suffer - someone did say that the pain of childbirth can actually help women have some idea of what men go through when they have the flu!

GrandT No they had to shorten the bone and stitch over the end. He's lost his nail too. So index finger is half inch shorter now.
