Good Afternoon from London - been raining since I got up at 7.30 and still raining now. Was going to walk to a friend's house but have just cancelled as don't want to get soaked. So the best thing to do on a rainy day? Go on gransnet!

Good morning from soggy Wiltshire, it hasn't stopped raining since the middle of the night ?

Giving the house a good clean then will sit down and get on with my knitting whilst listening to the radio....bliss!

Wish I could send you our rain pippa stair rods at the moment, I have been up since 6am waiting for the rain to stop, cannot use vacuum because husband still asleep, rest of housework done, rain too heavy to go out in, cannot even get to greenhouse. Think there might be flooding down the hill as police and ambulances have just driven past with flashing lights. Used to hate walking up and down the hill when I worked but with climate change I am glad we live here now.

In our part of Essex today ....we will be building an ark ! Please send 2 of everything because it continues to rain , rain , rain ! And I would like to say - I'm fed up with it !!!

Not so good where I am in Cyprus. A forest fire started yesterday at 1pm and is still raging. Helicopters flying over every 5 or so minutes with water bags. So far four villages evacuated as a precaution, and four of the emergency personnel have been injured, one seriously. We have an emergency bag packed just in case but I think the wind has taken to fire away from our village but the air is full of smoke and ash. Can you please send us some of your rain. Temperature is in the high 30's The fire was started by a 12 year old boy playing with grandfathers lighter!!!!!

Good morning to you all, this is definitely not the morning you want to be on holiday on the Sussex coast. It is cold, wet and miserable. Apart from the o.h. having an appointment with the optician this morning, there is nothing else planned, probably a good thing with the weather like it is. Enjoy your days.

Rain in the Tyne Valley today. Been to work this morning, unusual for a Monday but we are short staffed as one man is on holiday. Fridge light went out yesterday so must try and source another.

Good morning from a grey damp Colchester. We were hoping to continue in the garden this morning, but the weather has put a kybosh on that. Ironing it is then until it dries up.

It is raining again in North Leicestershire! Today one of my brothers and I are going to make a start on recording our take on our family history before we forget it. It has dawned on us that there are some things we will never know now and we ought to make a record of what we do know.
