Will you be awake to hear the referendum result?

No I shall be sleeping.
Remain will win as most people are too chicken to vote leave.
I didn't vote to join last time and still don't want to be part of the Brussels fiasco. I have a postal vote and I have already voted leave but I am sure that Leave won't win.

I shall sleep and set an early alarm.Hopefully,I will wake to a brand new dawn.

I too am feeling apprehensive about the result and dread turning the TV on on Friday morning for fear that we are still in the EU and having to watch CaMORON 's smug face.

I will probably have my earphones in, but will most likely to sleep through it all. It can come as an exciting surprise in the morning.

What referendum, lol? Would that be the thing that has just been banned from any mention on our town website?

I don't have to work on Friday so I expect I will stay up to listen to the early results. I hope we leave...

As I'll have to live with the result for the rest of my life, I don't see any point in staying awake for it!

My son always stays up all night to monitor election results as they happen so I am sure he will do the same this time. I won't and I am not sure whether we will have them all in by Friday morning. It's neck and neck at the moment so every vote will need to be counted before a valid result can be given.

It will be an issue for my family. My OH and my DD are both working for European companies and my husband will probably be taking his (invested) pension at the end of the year so a Remain vote is in their and our general best interests. Our DD has made it an issue of loyalty and has already been rancorous and rude about what she thinks our intentions are.

The problem is that the DS, the OH and myself all know we will be better off personally in the EU but we feel as a matter of principle and duty that we ought to vote out.

I think the Remain vote will win by a small amount and have no intention of taking it as anything but the results of a democratic system. No one will hear a word of dissent from me whatever the outcome. I wonder whether the Remainers could so easily say the same?

I would like to but will be so furious if Remain win that I would't get any sleep at all so maybe turn on radio as soon as I wake up- which will probably be very early.

The result will be we are staying in..however close the votes..sorry!

I feel that this referendum is a huge waste of public money, but then, who am I? Just another refugee's daughter.

I read somewhere that we won't get all the results in until breakfast time. I think it will vary a great deal from one area to the next with younger and more cosmopolitan London being strongly in favour of remaining in. I am going to our count, which I anticipate will be a lot quicker than the Assembly election one, where there were 2 long voting papers that had to be separated before they could start counting. It took till 4.30 - i think this will be done by 2 at latest at which point I will probably come home and doze in front of the national results.

I will be glued to the tele.

This is the most important thing that has happened to most people [politically] for a long long time. The outcome will determine our future and there's no going back if we leave. If we do I just hope my children both have jobs in a years time; if that's me being selfish sobeit..no good 'thinking about our grandchildren' if their parents are unemployed and can't pay the mortgage. I'll be awake all night.

Better for some of mine short term.

I am the other way about Jane10. A "wrong" result is probably better for some of mine. At least I have that consolation.
Your situation is a lose lose.

I am seriously anxious about the result. The wrong outcome will have a very negative effect on our family. Its personal.

From the link, and other places, it should be fairly easy to predict the results by 3 am unless it is super close, which obviously it might be, and most results in by 7am.

No I wont because the result , at that stage will be what will be. I agree Alima with your sentiment about moving on but judging from the recent Scottish referendum and some comments I had read recently, that may not be the case.

Really dont see why anyone should feel anxious about the result ....it's all talk at the moment so no one can honestly say if we will be better off in or out until it actually happens..as the dragons would say I'm out!'

I expect I'll be up early with the TV on to see how things are going.

I always wake at silly-o'clock and will check out the the news straightaway. Just hope that whatever the result the loser concedes defeat and we all move on. Cloud cuckoo land?

I expect so DH will have his radio on all night (with headphones) but I can sense it.
