How to make decking anti-slip

We can't get rid of it - it is the decking that forms the large flat area that I am able to walk on around the bungalow. I have looked at the Blackfriars paint online and it comes well reviewed and could be worth a try, so thanks for that idea. We might get one pot and do the critical area that we will need to be able to walk on in rain or shine.

Anyway it was made by Blackfriars and now can be bought by Amazon. In the reviews, others describe how they prepared the deck for painting the stuff on.

We used an old roller and brush working our way towards the end nearest the side gate and bin. There's no point in cleaning anything, just pop it in a bag and bin it.

When we had a deck we jet washed it every spring and applied a specialist anti slip coating that our local hardware shop had to order in. I'm sorry I can't remember what it was called, but it wasn't the usual DIY stuff. It was very good but di have to be reapplied every year.

We got rid of the whole lot and had a lovely stone patio put in. Just saying!

6. Ordinary doormats on the routes to logs/garage etc.

We would not try and make the whole lot anti-slip as there really is lots of it, but just significant routes.
