What annoys me is when Prince Charles turns up in a kilt when he's in Scotland at some event where nobody would normally wear one, and the papers say things like "Prince Charles, or the Duke of Rothesay as he is known in Scotland..." No he isn't. He is known as Prince Charles or the Prince of Wales in Scotland as he is elsewhere, and I've never heard anyone refer to him by any of his other titles. Prince William has an "as he is known in Scotland" title too, but I can't remember what it is. As he supports England teams (as he is entitled to do) he may not remember what his "Scottish" title is either
