My husband is what most reasonable people would call a throughly decent man. So why does he somtimes (not all the time) feel the need to embellish the truth when we're in company. I find it excruciatingly embarrassing. People I know say it's a male thing and that their partners somtimes do it. A bit like war stories, rather than "I was surrounded by 2 of the enemy" it becomes 20. Or a 3lb fish becomes a 30lb. I just don't get it?
Wetherspoons to become a bit quieter?

oh they all do it!
.
perhaps it's his boyhood imagination getting the better of him ( all that hi ho silver) stuff he saw in the cinema in the early 60's that's to blame
