I just wanted to say 'Oh yes they do bite' in case someone is picking them up because they think they are harmless. See this link and you will see they are not harmless.

l was bitten on the chest when I found 2 spiders in my bed, it was nowhere near that bad but it was red and swollen for 4 days and took about 2 wks before it was gone .
