Mild and dry, I think, in North Leicestershire which is good. Today is my day for Sainsbury's and I am intending to buty all the non-perishables for Christmas - just to be on the safe side.

Our Christmas arrangements are changing almost hourly with funerals, unfinished building work and other complications. I expect Mum to have a crisis any time soon - it has become a tradition in our family.

Still dark but forecast is mild here in Lancashire.
Lunch out today with ex work colleagues, always a treat. I'm not at all organised for Christmas yet, still seems a bit soon. Know what our arrangements are though because of a couple of family complications. I've also got visitors for new year so had better 'shape myself'.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Still dark, but wet and not too cold in South Yorkshire at the moment. We are food shopping this morning and then if it clears later we will get out for a walk. I have just realised we only have two weeks to Christmas! "Don't panic, Mr Mainwaring! Don't panic!!" Have a happy day, folks.

Morning, folks! Today was going to be a painting day (yes, still at it) but the weather forecast looks unrainy so I think it might be a hedge hacking day instead.

Found four mini pumpkins in the garden the other day. Pumpkin rain? Mystifying! Turned out they'd rained down from Minibags's window when she 'tidied' her room. She's in the middle of exams so has what, when I was studying hard, I used to call silly outbursts and what, when they were studying hard, my parents used to call screams. I put three of the pumpkins (two before the pic and then found another; the fourth had been part eaten so I left it where it was for mouse/bird/hedgehog) on an old stump. Mb said: "I see you found the pumpkins". She was highly amused

Good morning from a grey,drizzly Colchester. I'm beginning to feel a bit Christmassy after visiting a Christmas tree festival in town with the morning coffee ladies yesterday. Going with DH to a Christmas choir concert tonight.
I am hoping to simplify it all this year. Have bought for the children only and will write a few less cards than usual. Not bah humbug just less stress!

Dark, mild and windy here absolutely designed for hibernation if you were so lucky.
I am going to try to wrap some presents this afternoon (!) as I am seeing DD1 tomorrow at the DGSs Nativity and while we will see them again on Christmas Eve and they are coming here on Boxing day, I would still like to take the presents for her MILand FIL "in case"!!
I also need to tidy the small spare room which has become a dumping ground for presents, decorations, ironing etc.
Happy days!! Hope yours is equally satisfying (but maybe more enjoyable?)

Good morning from Cheshire. It is very grey here and was pouring with rain about an hour ago.

A grey, misty and mild day here in Oxfordshire.Plan to brave the chaos of the loft today (there could be anything up there!) to find all the Christmas bits and bobs.That's the easy bit though, compared to all the decorating of the tree etc.

Christmas cards 70% done( and posted). Those were the ones with handwritten, personal messages which take me forever to compose as I cannot bear writing round robin microprocessed missives.
Now just the 30% local cards to go.
Bedrooms to be prepared today for the visitors who begin to arrive on 18 December.
Only time I actually like cleaning!

Good morning to you all, unseasonably warm again, but I am not complaining! Enjoyed my lunch with the bowls ladies yesterday, the company good, but the duck I think died of old age. All sorts happening today, so must get myself up and running (well up and moving) Enjoy your days.

Overcast and muggy in Norfolk this morning. Warmer though and there is a breeze.

Woke at four this morning and gave in and got up shortly after. Read the latest Harry Potter (and the Cursed Child) from cover to cover and am now ready to go back to bed. Ironing to be done though and DH's presents to be wrapped. He's just gone out to try to find something for me. I'm apparently a problem!

Must not look at the rest of GN. Must get up and DO SOMETHING!

It's wet, grey and a mucky sort of morning here in Wiltshire. We were all set to walk to the village to post Christmas cards and parcels when the skies emptied so went by car. No papers this morning because of the delivery lorry being involved in an accident on the motorway, hopefully no one hurt but that means no Telegraph Soducko with my coffee.
