ruby practice makes perfect. I thought I'd never make the leap from Blackberry to Smartphone and now I'd be lost without it. I bet a week from now you will have made great strides.

There are lots of videos on You Tube explaining the functions of various smartphones. I found them invaluable when I changed to one. Good luck!

Know just how you feel rubylady, my brain is not wired for the latest technology. Why is it that when you actually achieve something with a new device you can't remember how you did it so have to start again. Is that just me ?
Good luck with it, if you have young grandchildren they will help usually with rolling eyes and lots of " oh Nanny "

I don't think ruby gets to see her grandchildren.

So sorry, didn't intend to be tactless.

Santa Claus didn't bring me one ???

It's ok Christine don't worry about it, I don't anymore. In fact it's probably a blessing with how I am. Two fighting boys, aged 4 and 6 who get pleasure from knocking bells out of each other with a mother who fails to control them is not my idea of grandparenthood. Of course I would love them but I don't want to be in the middle of WWIII and on edge all the time. Plus they were very rude last time I saw them so that would only get worse with no checking going on. No, I'm better off with my beloved pets who are very gentle.

As for the phone, it gets very hot! And that's not just because I am holding it. wink My DS is miffed because I send better emoticons than he does. I am finding my way around but I will look on youtube for videos of what it can do. Thank you.

ruby if there is an Apple Store accessible to you my experience is the staff will always help and the (free) workshops are very useful. You book them on line. Those I have been to have had 4-6 participants, last an hour and there is space to ask for specifics. I swapped in February and so far so good - with lots of help!

Thank you Greyduster and cornergran I will look at the workshops, they sound fun. Thank you. X
