2017 Babies

Hope all your 2017 babies are thriving.....2 weeks to go for our new arrival ....we don't know sex yet.....ds has just announced they have a baby due April 2018.....as his partner has a 4 year old son we seem to be going from one grandchild to four in a matter of months...not going to Canada till end of October so baby will be 3 weeks old when we get there....very exciting times

Yes my first granddaughter will be arriving in approx 3 weeks. My daughter has asked my to be her birthing partner alongside her husband. I'm really nervous.My daughter doesn't get why. I just want to do everything right for her.Any tips would be really appreciated.

Yes DiL exactly the same.Scan fine but she suffers from constant nausea and exhaustion. No joke with two other under fours.She is due in the middle of September and as it is another C section,she seems to be able to pick her date within reason.They usually go for a Friday so DS gets a bit longer at home. Seems odd to me ! I was secretly hoping for twins again as there are twins on her side of the family too but it seems to be only one.In reality easier to cope with I suppose.

As it's now April I think it's time for an update.....Dil has had 12 week scan and all is good.....baby due date now October 9th.....she is having morning sickness all day even with medication....how are all the other 2017 babies coming along?

We got more happy news a couple of weeks ago ... not only are DD and DstepD giving us a grandson each, DstepS's girlfriend is pregnant too and due early October! Sadly for us only DD lives in this country so the others will be long-distance DGC.

We got our grandson this weekend so having happy gran and mums x

At 79 with GC at 18 and 17 maybe I won't be so lucky but who knows?
I just know I envy you all.

Our fifth GC is due in September.We are very excited as we did not expect to have any more.

Congratulations on all the GDs, GSs and GGC born and expected this year. Only yesterday a grandson told me I wasn't his idea of a GGM as I didn't seem old enough! Believe me, I am!
Baby great granddaughter will be 7 weeks old tomorrow, how time is already flying!

Congratulations to all expectant grandparents and great grandparents, we are expecting our second GGC, a boy, in July. Our first GGD arrived in Feb, and she is gorgeous, beautiful, you get the picture.

Update on my Grandsons wife, her pregnancy is going well although at 14 wks she is suffering terribly with sickness most days, she's had a few days off work as she has a motorway drive to get there and suddenly needing to throw up isn't good on that drive. Fingers crossed everything continues to go well for her. I've got my knitting needles clicking also..

My DGS4 arrived safe and well during the night, two weeks early, missing his cousin's second birthday by just 3 hours! We've just come home from DGS3's party and are heading off soon to meet the new arrival at a fish and chip and fizz family tea, just the proud parents, grandparents and DGS2, who is apparently basking in the glory of being a big brother . I hardly slept last night, as we heard just after midnight that things were underway, so I'm feeling a bit at the minute!

Beautiful granddaughter born 2 weeks ago to DD1 who unfortunately developed sepsis. She is now on the mend thankfully and baby didn't get it, again thankfully! We did have some quality time with her 3 year old brother because mummy had to stay in hospital for 5 days on IV antibiotics. Nothing like a small warm person squeezing in beside you at 6.30am saying "Granny, I'm really hungry!" Lovely news for all who are expecting little arrivals this year x

DGD No 2 arrived on 14 Feb, totally gorgeous like her big sister

Our third DGC arrived two weeks ago. She is tiny but fine and is gorgeous. She is only half an hour ago, the other two are an eleven hour flight away. I have been quickly knitting very tiny cardigans for her.

First grandchild - no idea what flavour - due any day now.... I live almost 300 miles away from my son and his wife but my case and car are packed and ready to go (at their request). It's an odd feeling...

GrandmasueUK I think we know each other on FB. It was the son in Lisbon that did it. I am about to become a greatgrandmother again at Easter. Yet another boy. I certainly have more grandsons than granddaughters and it looks that it is going to be the same with the greatgrandchildren too.

Just found out my nephew and his partner are expecting twins in August knitting needles are in overdrive

We are waiting for 2 new grandsons in April and May, going nicely with our 3 year old DGD. Sadly she insist her baby is a girl!

Our one and probably only GD was the first baby born in hospital in Newport this year. What a gift she is, a complete joy, she lights up our lives.

GC no. 7 arrived last week

Number two grandson due 20th March. I'm off to Bristol to help with number one grandson and keep things ticking over while everyone adjusts, on the 12th. No idea how long I'll be there. Just hope baby stays put till I get there!

Eldest daughter in Australia is expecting her 2nd in July and daughter in Hertford expecting her 3rd a month later. I should just be back from Oz in time. Strangely enough my partners life and mine are running parallel. I have a daughter who married an Aussie and lives in Melbourne and has a little girl and expecting a boy. Other half has a daughter who married an Aussie and live in Sydney and she has a little girl and is expecting a boy a month after my daughter. Funny old world
