Mobile phone manners

This is a real pet hate of mine too! I was having coffee with someone a few weeks ago when their mobile rang. They answered and said "no it's OK I can talk I'm only with ........." I got up and left, haven't heard from her since

Suggest that at least part of your time together is screen free. If this works increase the time. Maybe some friends feel the same but don't want to say anything. I think its quite rude to leave your group and and go off to answer the phone unless its an emergency.
Good manners seem to take a back seat where screens are concerned.

With the increase in use of technology and mobile phones I have found myself in a dilemma with one or two friends. I love seeing my mates and having a good chat, however, a couple of my friends always pull out their phones and start showing dozens of pictures of whatever event
/DGC etc we are discussing. Also, if someone texts or phones while we are chatting, then off they go into the corner and carry on a conversation with them. Even when eating lunch a 'beep' has priority. It's lovely to see a few pictures etc to see how things are going, but it gets tedious watching someone scroll through dozens. Tactful suggestions anyone?
