I have been reminded by several threads recently, what a fantastic community space GN is and how up to date / of the moment it can be. I have noticed many times now that BBC News is playing catch up to something we are already hotly debating.

I know not everyone wants to share openly, but care, support and thoughtful advice for individuals is often amazing.

As someone who joined relatively recently, it has dispelled all my negative and misconstrued perceptions about becomiing an 'old fuddy-duddy' with the advent of grandparenthood. ...mischievous, sarcastic, caustic at times and always up for a laugh, but never a boring old f.....! (Unless I want to annoy the family!)

I just wanted to share a public hurrah for us!

I totally agree Imperfect27 . GN's can share/critisise/complain/laugh/weep.
Every post/thread gets a response and plenty to ponder over.
I was so very glad that I joined this group earlier this year.

You are perfectly correct, in spite of your user name. grin

LOL.

I do enjoy other's user names - there are many that show such a wry sense of humour.
