Has anyone tried this? It looks like a sort of non alcoholic gin style drink. I'd never heard of it until today. It sounds like something I'd like to try. Apparently you mix it with tonic. It's calorie and sugar free too. Too good to be true? On the other hand it's very expensive. £27 a bottle.

I think I'll stick to gin too and feel virtuous by having diet tonic! Let us know what it's like if you decide to try it yourself Jane.

I've never even seen it for sale anywhere. Any info I have is from the internet. Will look for it in the shops. Maybe there'll be pre Christmas offers? I hesitate to buy it due to the cost and that it might taste horrible!

Perhaps I am easily pleased but I find a glass of Belvoir Cucumber and Mint pressé or Fevertree Aromatic Tonic (tastes of angostura bitters so very like a pink gin) on their own very acceptable non-alcoholic alternatives although I can't deny a G&T still hits the spot!

I can't drink tonic - it makes me depressed. Mind you the price of this drink would make me depressed too grin

my daughter raved about this while she was pregnant.
i must confess i haven't tried it but Jenny just said you mix it with tonic and it was like having a gin & tonic when you can't and that all the best restaurants have it, so can't be too bad!

I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a drink.

All spirits are expensive and Seedlip is distilled like gin but with no resultant alcohol. Its good to hear your DD liked it hilary.

You see, this is the dilemma, Prosecco 13% Seedlip 0%, choices, choices, choices.

Hi Jane, funny you write about this stuff! DD is pregnant and bought a bottle with her for lunch last weekend, bought from her local Tesco. She had bought a bottle of the 'Spice 94' which we mixed with tonic water and lots of ice. It was very refreshing and tasted delicious, it definitely felt like we were drinking a proper 'drink'! It doesn't taste like Gin as such but certainly adds a real kick to a drink. I'd say it's the price you pay for a good product and is no more than a decent bottle of gin. My husband and I were talking about it after DD left and concluded it's a good thing they've made a classy option for non-drinkers.
