Can anyone recommend a good make of slippers with a really safe non-slip sole for my 94 year old mum who has had a fall recently?

Try this site unless your mum has very narrow feet; they are rather expensive but sturdy with good soles, although I have not tried the slippers they look supportive and non-slip.

We get these for my mother in law, aged 89. She is in care and has dementia. Her balance and mobility is still reasonable. The double velcro fastening ensure a snug and comfortable fit.

I know a few people who have had shoes and slippers from here www.cosyfeet.com/shop?srsltid=AfmBOor0XPx78dRMmXRLne2Cf61zq6BgKd2sevP6R7F0i_TkR6WoKyVC

When my mum was admitted to hospital I bought her a pair of very inexpensive slippers from ShoeZone,£6.99 but with a really good sturdy sole. All the nurses and physios thought they were great so I bought her a new pair when she went into a care home three weeks ago.
The slippers were still great after the seven weeks in hospital, the need for a new pair was the amount of dust and dirt from the hospital floors stuck to them🤢
Mum is 92 but I had to apologise for buying her old lady slippers😂

My brother and his horrible wife bought my Mum some ghastly furry slipper boots when she was 92.

They were totally useless and also dangerous. They had no support around the heel (or indeed anywhere) so just flopped over as you tried to put them on. They were also oversized and when she tried to walk in them they were all over the place.

A completely useless gift which I had great delight in throwing in the bin when she died. More falls and accidents are caused by ill fitting and unsupportive slippers than anything else.

I'd second cosyfeet for people with swollen feet but if she doesn't have swollen feet they may be too wide - they specialise in wide fit slippers.

Hotter have this pair which look a good fit and supportive
