No more local sites

Hi all,

There are some changes coming for Gransnet Local - not exactly shutting down as such, more evolving. We'll post more information when everything's finalised and we're ready to make the changes.

We haven’t chosen to leave. The local sites are being closed by HQ but forums will remain as will FB pages if the editors choose to continue being admin of them.

Yes me Nandalot . I believe that there are changes afoot on MN and GN local sites and lots of editors have chos n to leave .

there was a post on the Lincolnshire site on December 12th to say that the editor was standing down. I must admit to not using it much because nothing much seemed to happen on there.

Our local editor posted to say that Gransnet is closing the local sites and also FB and Twitter. Anyone else read this?

I too had a FB post to say our local site would be finishing. I didn’t know if it was just the FB local or the GN local, or whether it was just that the local editor was giving up. I do use the links which the FB site put up and occasionally join a conversation, perhaps it’s just not getting enough imput. I’m in Norfolk.

I put lots of time building up the local site when I was a Granset editor - no one ever looked at it so I resigned to do other things.

I was surprised to see a FB post that my local GN page, and FB account was closing. Did I miss an announcement?
