Cushions

There's one family in particular on Gogglebox where they all sit cuddling cushions. I think Katek's right but it doesn't work!

Katek I find a well draped scarf does that quite nicely!

I'm afraid I do it sometimes, it's a "comfort" thing. I cuddle an old bed jacket when I'm sleeping, I must be a weird old biddy

To further answer, I'm not sure why the television script writing/directing would include putting a cushion on othe actors lap.

Maybe they find cushions uncomfortable.
My husband hates "the confounded things". When at home he moves them from behind his back with much comment.

I know what you mean. I don't know really. Funnily enough my SIL often sits and takes the cushion from behind him and sits hugging it, I don't think he realises he does it.

I haven’t seen or heard of this, so can’t say.
Perhaps it’s a substitute cat?
