Talking Point

Another link to the Alzheimer's Society - Talking Point.

A forum for people caring for anyone with any form of dementia.

Sounds really excellent. Hope it doesn’t become one more burden for family carers who have so much on their plates, but I can see that the scheme will only work with people who have first hand experience of what they are talking about. I can imagine it being a real lifeline.

winterwhite I'm confused by your post.
How can a forum where carers can moan, get advice and yes, have a laugh "become one more burden for family carers" ?
Yes it is a life line for carers and in fact has several members who are living with dementia themselves.

Winter white - Having used this forum when my late mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers, I would say it is in no way a burden, but a very useful forum for anyone dealing with this situation. It is definitely a lifeline for many people and is a wonderful source of knowledge and advice for any of the thousands of people who has a relative or friend diagnosed with this cruel disease every year.
