Murphys Law. eg My house will be spotless and tidy for days and no visitors. As soon as I have an off/ lazy day and the house is a mess an unexpected visitor arrives!

Kittylester, it's called Murphy's Law, (AKA S**d's law)

Actually, you are right, Lucky. Thank you!

She has 4 children and they all live 'very successful' lives, or so I'm told, but are so busy they rarely have time to come back to Leicestershire!

Ah - but you are living REAL life - infinitely preferable to the coiffed tea-sipping brigade. I know which I prefer!

I thought I had made a really good friend when our children were at school together and we were quite close for a long time. Then she really let me down and I have not seen her for years.

Yesterday, we had DGS2 and DGD3 for the day and I met DD at the farm shop halfway between us to hand them back. On the way DGD was sick.

After I had handed them over, feeling and looking like the back end of a tram smash and probably smelling of sick, I went into the shop as usual to buy a few things and the first thing I saw was my exfriend, dressed up to the nines, hair beautifully done and definitely not smelling of sick, sipping tea with an equally elegant friend.

Why, just why? confused
