Good Afternoon earlybirds!
Our free-to-air, ad-free TV channel has just finished a 3 part series of 1 hour progs showing remarkable footage of sinkholes in America and more interestingly, to me anyway, Britain.
I kept missing the credits at the end of each episode, but I guess the BBC was involved and I also guess you've all seen this series before. No idea when the prog. was made.
But wasn't it fascinating?
Because of all the mining carried out all over Britain for various purposes you could all be living over potential sinkholes so we were told. But don't panic, as Corporal Jones would say! No need to emigrate, yet.!
Some of the footage was incredible though. A poor horse having to be winched out of a 6ft deep hole; thankfully it was rescued unharmed and shown to be OK 4 years later. All those trees simply sinking out of sight. I couldn't believe my eyes.
The emotional not to mention financial costs would be enormous.
Has anyone ever seen a sinkhole, or, Heaven forbid, been caught up in the aftermath?
It makes me shudder just thinking about it, but, yes, I did manage to sleep well afterwards. I'm "bushed" by midnight after all this soccer World Cup stuff.
Australia v Denmark! C'mon Aussies, c'mon! and well done the Poms!
See Ya!
Good Health and have a good Wednesday.
