It’s like this where my DD lives. She texted me the other day at 0810h to say could I please wake DGS2 up if he was still asleep. The text didn’t arrive till 1540h. He’d got up, been to school and was already back home. smile

My husband has an electric bed which the council PAT test each year. I had a phone call to say they would come today, a text confirmation would be sent and the person would text in the morning to say what time he would arrive. Excellent idea I thought. 10.30 am. Doorbell rang and the tester arrived, I asked about the text. He explained he had sent it but had been so near it hadn’t arrived. The text arrived at 3.15 with a security question and the tester’s name!
