Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! I love Christmas but November is quite early enough. Hate all the charity stuff that tries to make you feel guilty if you don’t buy the cards they have sent or you use the free pen and labels. I send them back unopened as ‘not required ‘‘ and give to my chosen charities throughout the year.
Well I have everything bought except the 4 GC.s presents ,and thats just because they change their minds all the time about what they like .I love Christmas too Kathsue and I like to be organised for it as I have about 25 people to buy for .I'm going down a different route with cases of wine for couples this year instead of individual gifts like perfume or books etc .
kathsue Don't even think of doing away with 'C*******s', it's my favourite time of the year, but only from November onwards! I love every second of it and am like a big kid!
I think it should be every 5 years, then Wow what a celebration it would be!!! Having it every year causes debt, stress, arguements, family strife, over eating and drinking, loneliness and sometimes ungrateful children. The meaning is lost on many and it should be a time of peace and goodwill. The churches could still hold their special services for those who celebrate for the birth christ.
In this house any mention of Christmas is banned until after the annual Street fair during the second week in November - I just wish the rest of the country would conform.
Just opened today's post: Christmas catalogue from the Blue Cross, Autumn raffle from Guide Dogs, free Christmas cards from the Red Cross and a 2019 calendar from Marie Curie.
I do give to some charities but I wish they wouldn't keep sending all this stuff especially Christmas stuff before I've even been on my Summer holidays!
The last item of post cheered me up though -£20 winnings from the BHF weekly lottery.
