Lots of proud grannies around and quite rightly so. Another one here, our 2 new high schoolers have made a good start. kitty our gd got lost too, She braved it to ask a “big kid” for help fortunately the older child was kind and helpfully pointed her in the right direction. I have to admit her mum and I had a quiet chuckle, neither she nor I are gifted with good navigational skills, we fear poor gd may have inherited the same gene!
Sad to hear about the young man kitty, that poor family, and those who care about them too, have indeed a sad road to tread . greyduster I feel for you too. My sil in Scotland has dementia, so far my bil is coping but with difficulty (he has significant health challenges himself). We feel very sad for them both and know we can do very little from so far away. Fortunately some of their family are close at hand and give a lot of support.
Ann I hope the visit to your dh is a happy one and you can put aside all worries to focus on your holiday.
We’ve been for a sleep over at dd1, to hear all about their holiday and are lunching with dd2 tomorrow for the very same reason. We, that’ll be the royal we, are more or less packed for our own holiday. We’re off early on Monday to Madeira , not sure what WiFi will be available but hope to try to pop in to see if there’s news of panache and maybe post a picture or 2.
Nice to see some new names in the kitchen, looking forward to getting to know you as time goes on. Aware I’ve probably ignored some kitchen pals, no matter how I try I’m always behind with all the happenings here! But nevertheless sending everyone good wishes. Night all xx
