You are a very special peoples too, Soop. Wrap up warm and get well soon.

soop Mon 10-Sept-18 17:02:23

Had to pop out of bed to check for emails. You know why. No word. Sorry.

I have a bad stomach and a chesty cough. No care home visit tomorrow. The upstairs residents all have the same cough. hmm Our friend's funeral on Wednesday. I am determined to rally for the occasion.

Take good care of yourselves. You are very special "peoples", as Torben would say.

callgirl1 Mon 10-Sept-18 16:42:00

Refresh my memory please GrannyQ, where have you gone to?
Oh dear Soop, get well soon, it takes a lot for you to takev to your bed.
Ann, I hope the showers stay away, and that you enjoy dinner.
I`m glad your birthday was a smash hit N&G.

grannyqueenie Mon 10-Sept-18 15:30:45

Charley In my experience it's that fine line between good “perception” and rigorous training given over many years that leads to the satisfactory birthday result that n&g has enjoyed!! Something I aspire to enjoy, and indeed sometimes but not always do grin But we’re almost 49 so it’s not that bad, and yes I was a child bride!
Enjoy your hols Ann whatever pace you go at. We left at silly o’clock this morning and had a pretty trouble free journey. We’ve had the longest time ever waiting for our room to be ready but we deposited our luggage and went off exploring. Found a place with a good view for lunch. Warmer than I expected here so now we have a room I may be joining you in the shower ann, figuratively speaking you understand! shock
Glad you’re more yourself kitty, hoping that dishy doc can work his magic on our soop too. Sending you a gentle hug x
Right I must away the old boy is champing at the bit to get going again he can’t do sitting down for very long!

annsixty Mon 10-Sept-18 14:52:25

Sorry you are not well soop get better soon.

annsixty Mon 10-Sept-18 14:51:30

I am safely here although we have already had a couple of showers.
It is going to be quite a challenge with the young ones,
I won't be keeping up,
I have sent them to the pool while I relax and probably have 40 winks.
Need to rest before dinner or I will miss it.

Charleygirl Mon 10-Sept-18 13:15:04

N&G you have got the years wrong- you are not that old unless of course you were a child bride!

I do hope that Sam is okay- he will be enjoying the cooler weather.

soop please look after yourself and rest.

NanaandGrampy Mon 10-Sept-18 12:54:33

Sorry to hear you're poorly soop , do as you're told and I will save you a slice of my chocolate birthday cake !!

I know Charley wink its why we have stayed married 42 years I suspect!!

mrshat Mon 10-Sept-18 12:41:45

Look after yourself soop. Take things slowly and gently and be kind to yourself flowers

kittylester Mon 10-Sept-18 12:35:11

Oh crumbs soop, did you see what I did there. I hope you feel better soon. I've finished with Dr Kildare so I'll send him on!! grin

I hope ann got away ok and is already sunning herself by a pool with a drink in hand!!

Glad the birthday went well N&G - you have got Grampy well trained. grin

It would be nice to hear from MrPanache.

Nothing much to report from Lester Towers but I will try to get back again soon.

Bellanonna Mon 10-Sept-18 12:33:35

Oh poor you soop. You must be feeling quite bad. Get better soon! x

Jalima1108 Mon 10-Sept-18 12:12:00

Get well soon, soop, I hope you will be receiving some tlc
flowers

soop Mon 10-Sept-18 12:03:50

A very quick visit. Not well and am confined to my bed. Just wanted to tell you that I haven't had a response from Mr Panache. Back a little later. Take care and - don't push the cake crumbs under the rug {wink]

Charleygirl Mon 10-Sept-18 09:36:52

So perceptive of Grampy to work out exactly what you would like!!!!!!!

NanaandGrampy Mon 10-Sept-18 09:34:09

Morning all !!

Thank you for all your good wishes. A great birthday was had by all lol . Grampy bought me a bracelet I wanted ( which I pointed out , ordered and took his credit card to pay for lol) I leave nothing to chance these days and surprisingly he always gets it right :-)

Have a great holiday Ann and Grannie . I am off in a couple of weeks for the annual beano with my brother, sisters and their husbands/wives.

But before then we have young Stevie's birthday next weekend which will mean and overnight stay back down near the kids so I am cramming in a number of things the following day before we come home. 1 x hair apt, a trip to Costco and one to Ikea!!

Hope you're feeling better too Kitty.

Happy day all !!!

callgirl1 Sun 09-Sept-18 23:31:56

Ann and GrannyQ, slotted in there I also typed "have fantastic holidays", but that bit vanished into the ether!

callgirl1 Sun 09-Sept-18 23:30:09

Just in time to wish you a Happy Birthday N&G, hope it`s been a good `un.
Ann and GrannyQ, be good, if you can`t be good, be careful!
Kitty, I hope you`re feeling better by now.
I was out for a meal last night with 2 daughters and a friend, it was very nice. Then today I was invited to Sunday dinner at daughter 2`s house, along with her in-laws, then we went to my grandson`s to see baby Max, who aint half growing, he`s really heavy, unless I`m really weak! It`s been lovely having a Sunday without cooking!
Hoping for news of Panache tomorrow.

annodomini Sun 09-Sept-18 19:35:16

ann, obviously I never listen! I thought you were leaving today. But my wishes in my earlier post still hold good for tomorrow morning. xxx

grannyqueenie Sun 09-Sept-18 19:12:34

Just nipping back to wish n&g a very happy birthday, sounds like the day got off to a good start with surprise visitors. Hope you’re having a well deserved treat filled day, and enjoying every minute. x
Get well soon kitty, with or without, the healing hands of Dr K ... who sadly I’m old enough to remember too!
We’re all packed and ready, as always I’m sure there’s something I should have done but.... since I don’t know what it is I can’t do anything about it. I too have a very empty and tidy fridge...! Though I may not be doing as much serious partying as Ann
I’m off to relax and will be aiming for an early night, taxi comes at 5am!

While Doc Kildare was a tv star a new young dentist came to our practice. He wore the doc's asymmetric buttoned tunic and was over 6ft tall. With his blond hair and blue eyes he made my regular checkups quite enjoyable! Probably my first crush (at 13)!

NanKate Sun 09-Sept-18 18:32:03

I agree Dr K was quite a looker.

Charleygirl Sun 09-Sept-18 17:37:08

I would think that most ladies of a certain age would remember Dr. Kildare- he was rather dishy.

soop Sun 09-Sept-18 17:01:32

NanKate I had a crush on Dr Kildare. Do you remember him? Rather dishy! wink

soop Sun 09-Sept-18 17:00:08

It was good to see you, harrigran, in the kitchen.

Ann Why am I excited for you? Well, I am. We look forward to hearing all about your holiday when you return. In the meantime, safe travels.

ChaosInc Yet another buggeration with technology issues. Try not to get your knickers in a twist. Says she who loses her cooel when such hitches occur. wink

I have no news to share with you. I shall keep the computer on stand-by. I am very concerned.

Finished sorting through the wardrobes. I've a box to drop off at the Red Cross shop. Strange, isn't it...the wardrobe doesn't appear to be emptier. Although MacS said that it looks very much tidier. hmm

NanKate Sun 09-Sept-18 16:36:52

Happy birthday from me too. ?

Hope the shivers have gone Kitty. I sent Dr Kikdare up to Marydoll when she was poorly, he comes highly recommended. Let me know if his soothing hands work for you too.
