Good Afternoon my kitchen friends............ and I sincerely hope today is turning out to be kinder with less pain and issues for all those having problems of varying kinds.
Since there has been a wealth of hardship floating around in the Kitchen of late, I thought today perhaps I will join you GreyD in relating something fresh........sadly nothing as exciting and mouth watering as you brought us with sharing your visit to Chatsworth Park.......(even though it meant suffering for your pleasure!!!)
Such a beautiful setting and what a gorgous blue sky.
Whilst I could actually picture you there munching through your delectables!!!
You certainly know how to treat yourselves!!!
Because of the weather changing and night`s drawing in I have had to try rethink my plans for most days as I certainly do not have many choices!
However ever since the programmes “Escape to the Country” ever started, with the delightful presenter with a lovely accent,Catherine Gee, I have been “hooked”.... as design, decorating, refurbishing and home making is high on my list of enjoyments.
I love nosing through homes, enjoy those lovely quaint village settings,or travelling through such amazing green countryside or along those delightful coastal stretches that I most likely will never be able to enjoy in real life again......
So with that broadcast on afternoon weekdays, and sometimes the weekend, that has been firmly added to my viewing list,as is a very similar newer concept called “Coast v Country” on an opposing Channel, so those two full hours of lying back and letting the beauty soak over me!!!
It takes me up to excercising the grey cells!
My dear man and I love “The Chase” with the wit provided by cheeky Bradley Walsh and then, the 4 “clever” ones... although trying to portray a serious persona .......you can always detect a glimmer of a suppressed giggle amongst them!!!
Time to round off our viewing with a half hour local News and another half hour of The Main News............and that should serve me nicely and keep me up to date, with no space left for feeling down hearted either.
We have 3 T.V`s and yet apart from watching both Royal Weddings this year, neither have been used apart from my man watching some of his favourite snooker and Tour de France.
Hopefully that will fit the bill nicely in keeping me fairly well occupied.......until the channels decide to change again!
Please note I have allowed for plenty time to flit in and out of The kitchen, as of course I shall need sustenance and without you lot life would be extremely stagnant and dreary...........so keep up the good work dear friends.
Always with you in spirit!!
