However, I have a divider which has a longer slot on the left, so servers go in that, a long one on the right (odds and ends in that side) and shorter slots with, l to r, spoons, forks knives. Teaspoons in the slot in front and other bits and bobs like peeler, corer etc in a full-width one at the front.

Mine goes front to back , knives, forks, dessert spoons, tea spoons not left/right. With full length section on left for carving knife/fork and other long items.

I have a drawer with dividers for every Day cutlery, sharp knives, can opener etc. It's not really big enough but we manage. I have a round pot next to the hob with spatula, slotted spoon etc in it. Teaspoons live inside a small mug which is in a drawer also. Don't like too much on my work surfaces.

My cutlery and utensils are in two separate holders on the work surface as the kitchen unfortunately has no drawers whatsoever. I can blame my brother-in-law for that. I bought the house from him a few years after he and his family moved out. He took his lovely kitchen out to put in his new home and replaced it with a cheap one with no drawers as he was renting out the house initially. My dream is to get a new kitchen with drawers.

A regular cutlery drawer for me with dividers for each type of item and a separate drawer for all my utensils. They work for me!

Dd1 has a divided cutlery drawer but she has the things in the wrong sections. Hers are (from the left) spoons, knives, forks, servers. I feel a complete failure as a mother that I didn't teach her the correct method ie (from the left) forks, knives, spoons, servers.

I have a le Crueset pot by the cooker for wooden spoons, spatula and liftery thjngs.

Every piece of cutlery gets bunged into one drawer at present with regularly used utensils in a pot. I do need another drawer as I can never find anything first time of looking!!! Something to do after Christmas perhaps

I too have a cutlery drawer and also have a drawer for the other utensils. However my cutlery drawer is forever losing forks and teaspoons and every 6 months or so I replace them. Despite there being 4 of us in the house, magically no one seems to know where they are or even have them. I did think that maybe they had gone on vacation with the odds socks until a few months ago 10 spoons and 18 forks reappeared after my 20 year old tidied her bedroom.

I have just bought a wonderful Joseph Joseph drawer organiser. It was a little pricey at £25 but I think it’s wirth every penny. I’m not changing my drawer habits. Just improving them.

I have to have the cutlery in its right places and not all mixed up and in a muddle. I'm demented when I go to GD's house and see it all mixed. I keep telling her it's so much easier to have the cutlery in its rightful order. I'm not so much bothered about anything else.

Cutlery drawer with sectionns. Also another for all the other kitchen stuff eg scone cutters, measuring spoons. Plus a smaller drawer with day to day stuff - speedy peelers, scoops (ice cream) kebab rods and goodness knows what else. Think I should have a bit of a clear out! I also keep herbs and spices in a couple of drawers, decanted into glass and plastic pots and labelled on top for easy recognition.

I have two cutlery drawers in my kitchen - one for everyday and one for dinner. And I have a huge divided drawer for utensils. Love them - hate things hanging up they always fall down.

Dividers in all four kitchen drawers, in our household. One is the cutlery drawer and the rest contain kitchen tools. We've also two "pots" - for the wooden spoons the "large" tools. ("Best" cutlery lives in its own box in a cupboard - and gets used.) DH & I have stayed in many holiday homes - and have never met one without a "divided" cutlery drawer!

I have a utensil pot on the worktop near cooker. It houses 1 knife, fork, spoon, 2 long handled coffee spoons (for lattes plus paring knife and veg peeler and butter knife. All other cutlery in drawer divider plus tin opener, grater, parer and other tools. Some larger ones hanging on rack behind hob.
Another drawer holds blu-tack, string, wire twists, packs of batteries, Appliance manuals in folders with guarantees and coasters.
Kitchen roll, parchment, clingfilm plastic freezer bags and Jcloths in another and a 4 tier wheeled trolley holds linen napkins, teatowels, paper napkins and anti-bac wipes with measuring cups/jugs, digital scales and spare kitchen rolls. The top is a butcher's block and drawer.
I can't abide untidiness in my own home but I like it in other people's homes.

My older sister told me she now uses her best cutlery and crockery all of the time and gave her everyday sets away. She said I should do the same or else it will still be in the dresser when I die. I am not sure If I am ready to take the plunge as I know I would be upset if something got broken.

I have a cutlery box with dividers in a drawer with a space alongside with potato peeler etc. Whisk, potato masher and other utensils in a pot and sharp knives on a magnet thing on the wall. I like to be organised and able to put my hands on things without thinking.

Drawer with divider for me too. I don't posess best cutlery. Serving spoons, spud masher, basting brush, pizza wheel etc. are in a pot next to the hob.

I have a cutlery drawer in the sideboard and a wooden canteen in the dining room.
In the kitchen I have four cutlery drawers, three of which have compartments/divisions.

I have a cutlery drawer with compartments, but things creep about at night into the wrong compartment!

We have a cutlery drawer in the sideboard, and a cutlery canteen on top, for everyday cutlery. The stuff from the canteen, (wedding present), is in the sideboard drawer, as the forks, spoons etc, need cleaning, so not used. In the kitchen are two drawers, one for cutlery and one for kitchen paraphanalia. Then there is a hanging rack, above the cooker, for the cookery tools. There are also two utensil containers. Do I really need that much stuff? (I do use it all)

I have a divided cutlery drawer, a knife drawer, a drawer for everything else and an over flow drawer . We also have 'the drawer' which contains rubber bands, drawing pins, chalk, a Vick inhaler hand cream, bits of string, a set square, change pot, fountain pens, bluetac, torch and all sorts of other crap useful stuff!

Divider for me but the teaspoons don’t like their bit and most have gone goodness knows where! ?
