Good morning,
Windy but dry here this morning. I heard it howling through the night, too, though everything outside still appears to be where it should be!
Managed to get my Xmas cards for Europe posted yesterday, so today I must get the rest written and posted/hand delivered. I might even wrap some presents....tchsmile.
Hope you all enjoy your Saturday.

Gale force winds here on the NE coast. Several of my large plant pots have blown over and smashed in the night. Now there’s an expense I could do without .

I haven’t even bought any Christmas cards yet . Must gent a move on.

Have a good Saturday everyone x

Morning Mick, Annie to come, and all others.
DH said it was a very windy night, but I didn’t hear a thing.
Finished writing my cards during the evening and now will deliver the neighbours and local ones. Did a shop yesterday afternoon, instead of today, so after coffee out as usual this morning, we can get the decorations down from the loft and decide which ones to use or discard.
Have a good day one and all.

Morning everyone.
A bright sunny but windy day in Kent.
Both DGS picked up their first pairs of glasses yesterday. They look so grown up. I do wonder though how at 9 and 6 nobody noticed they needed them.
DH is cooking breakfast and will then walk to town, whilst I do housework.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning all from a bright Fife. At least it is weather wise. Sorry over slept this morning, have a headache not due to any Christmas parties unfortunately, just a headache and going out to meet friends in 45 mins. Hope everyone is fine, if not take care of yourselves. So sorry it's rushed. Enjoy everyone going out to festivities.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

No idea if we have rain in Powys, I am still in bed.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It is dull and grey but dry for the moment in South Yorkshire. We don’t have a lot planned today. I did Christmas shopping yesterday - an event so momentous it stopped the traffic!! I had to lie down in a dark room when we came home.? I must write my cards today. Have a good day folks.

TerriBull Sat 08-Dec-18 08:35:49

Good morning from the edge of west London, it looks to be a bright clear day this morning.

I will be writing some more Christmas cards this morning, what a chore it is, I almost envy those who don't bother, but part of me tells me to keep the tradition going.

Taking gd swimming again pm. Strictly tonight and am looking forward to the next two parts of "The Sinner"

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The howling wind woke me a couple of times last night and it's still a bit breezy now.
Will go for a walk this morning as rain is forecast again later. Bit of shopping.
I have made a start on cards and presents, but DH is a bit Bah humbug about getting the decs out of the garage.

DoraMarr Sat 08-Dec-18 08:18:05

Good morning from a bright and windy Birmingham. My daughter and grandson stayed over last night, so my living room looks like an exploded toy shop this morning. Grandson took his first steps yesterday, and this morning there is no stopping him. Tai Chi this afternoon, and to partner for dinner and tv catch up this evening- The Little Drummer Girl. I hope everyone has a good day!

harrigran Sat 08-Dec-18 08:11:24

Good morning, gale force winds here and been blowing all night. I am staying in the house today.
Finished writing cards yesterday and put up a small tree in the music room, will think about the one for the lounge on Monday.

Good Evening Mick and Everyone; Only 27C today; Cloudy, humid, no rain; putting up the sun umbrella today for the first time this summer obviously put the moz on our heat-wave sad Had shepherd's pie from the freezer menu for dinner. Definitely more user-friendly than Butter Chicken(Indian Style)!

NfkDumpling Sat 08-Dec-18 08:03:44

Morning All

Just a bit breezy here in Norfolk too. Dry at the moment but heavy showers keep bustling through.

DH has bought a load of dry root hedging to replenish our hedge which he’s marmalized as it got far too thick. It’s a bit thin now! So we’ll be gardening.

Willow10 Sat 08-Dec-18 08:02:45

Good morning all. Venus looked lovely in the sky next to the church this morning. Hoping to get some washing out in the wind today. The annual trek up and down the garden steps to get the Christmas decorations begins in earnest today! Hope its a good one for everyone.

Marydoll Sat 08-Dec-18 07:51:36

Yes, Kate, but that will be me until next Christmas! grin

NanKate Sat 08-Dec-18 07:47:08

Two days of celebrations on the trot Mary you will need to take to your bed tomorrow to recover. ?

Nana3 Sat 08-Dec-18 07:46:05

Good morning, dry but windy in Lancashire.
flowers flowers for you and your Mum dragonfly.
Present wrapping for me today.
Have a good day everyone.

NanKate Sat 08-Dec-18 07:44:37

Morning Mick and All.

Clear and dry in South Bucks.

Either want to try and finish my cards today and sort out presents so I know what else to buy or make our annual excursion to Disraeli’s home NT Hughenden Manor to see the Christmas decorations. This year they are copying what the house looked like when Queen Victoria came to stay. It is always magical there and we really look forward to it.

Best of luck Kitty with your tin rattling. Hope people are generous for such a worthy cause.

Marydoll Sat 08-Dec-18 07:40:08

Good morning all, recovering from my ladies' night last night.
Damp here in Glasgow and rain forecast later. Of course it's going to be raining we are not taking the car!

We are off out for a family lunch to celebrate DIL's fortieth birthday. Her own family have ignored it, so we are all trying to give her a really special day. sad.

Best wishes to Mr Kitty and all those feeling poorly.

cornergran Sat 08-Dec-18 07:36:55

Morning Mick, morning All from a wet and very windy corner of Somerset. Not sure what we will do today, friends staying, definitely something inside, it’s not a day for a beach walk that’s for sure. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

dragonfly46 Sat 08-Dec-18 07:26:00

Good morning. Going to see Mum today. The care home want her to have smaller knickers! We took her for an x-ray on Thursday and she has broken the bone in her little toe. Not sure they can do anything.

oldgaijin Sat 08-Dec-18 07:24:29

Greetings all from a wet and windy Aberdeenshire.
Baking's all done...ten dozen pieces in total so shall deliver it to Santa's grotto this afternoon, before home to tea and toasted crumpet (the great big one's). Shall attack the cards this evening. Have a great day everybody.

EllanVannin Sat 08-Dec-18 07:23:58

Good morning All. x
Pretty windy and wet as I let the cats out but not too cold at present. Black as night outside with the brightest star still visible. Roll on Spring.

Must post Christmas card to Oz this morning, Might think about doing the tree this weekend.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Sar53 Sat 08-Dec-18 07:20:33

Good morning everyone from a dry Essex by the sea. A visit to a local town this morning then probably wrap a few more presents this afternoon.
We watched 'Suite Francaise' last night, well worth watching.
Have a good day everyone.

kittylester Sat 08-Dec-18 07:05:13

Good morning all from North Leicestershire where it is also quite windy.

This morning I am doing brunch for DH and DS1 before they go to the match and this afternoon I'm doing a bucket collection for the Alzheimer's Society while a brass band play carols in our local shopping centre.

Strictly and pizza tonight!
