As a windfall of £114 would make a difference to me, let alone £114million. I can't afford to gamble but if I did, and won, I wouldn't go public in any circumstance.
I have had about £20 in Premium Bonds since I was a baby. They won £250 when I was nine. My mother insisted £200 was reinvested into more Premium Bonds, I had to give £10 each to my grandparents and my siblings, and I was allowed to spend £10 (on a pink dressing gown, and a rug for my bedroom to cover the stained carpet). As soon as I was 18 I cashed the £200 in, to put towards buying a car. The remainder has never won anything else.
I do think the various lotteries should have the jackpot capped at £1 million and offer many more prizes though.
