Making a determined effort to join back in the happy Kitchen atmosphere again, how I have missed you all and it has taken me quite a while to read through and try catch up!!!
You are very much spot on Grannyqueenie when quite a way back you said that it was quite likely I was missing because life was still rather "pearshaped" here, and I did not wish to make a great fuss about it........................after the great uproar my earlier messages of real hardship brought to the kitchen, I certainly decided to step back and just get on with things....... as I knew only too well so many of you are facing great issues daily yourselves.
I felt The Kitchen needed less rather than more folk with problems.
However also I did spend almost 3 weeks myself in Hospital again, same old problem and treatments since the Consultants have stated they dare not operate now..........I return for checks every other day in the meantime.
Pleased to add though my dear man has recovered quite well from the stroke, although I find the weight of planning as well as much more of the housework etc now falls on me.He has other issues and has had several cardiac tests this past week, whilst the darned sciatica and a groin injury add to his problems, leaving him hobbling on a cane...........we are now a very real Derby and Joan!!!
But he is not one to sit back for too long and has already started a little mowing ......so nothing wrong with his spirit.........or was it the thought of joining the men folk on your special wing that motivated him????
Ever grateful to the help given and lovely letters recieved, but although we have had several visits from certain Bodies and there has been numerous forms filled, there has been no hands on help given.
Sadly Age UK no longer exists in this county and quite frankly the SS do not seem able to cope.
However we have found a helpful body of people that offer the help as long as we pay, so we have to be gratreful for that at this moment in time. But we are continuing our search for the right kind of help.
Have been very touched by the many dear suffering ones here in the Kitchen and indeed my heart goes out to each one..... where worry and bleakness exists in abundance.
So sorry to hear your news too Soop but it seems that at least you are well prepared to meet these "whatsoevers," whilst so very many of us can add that we have been there and recovered, which surely is the very best news you can hear at this difficult time?
All those playing this awful waiting game, please know I understand all too well,it well and truly gets you down......but it is usually well worth this holding on
I am in the process of writing privately to those I think are hurting at this time........I myself know the value of these letters, which are often like little uplifting helping hands to me.
Delighted to add our west coast topped the temperature charts this week.......17.5 % recorded ...........and yes it has been altogether very pleasant, especially now our daffodils are blooming here and there throughout our County.....as well as in our garden.Very soon we shall be swathed in glorious golden heads waving in the breeze throughout our county!
It seems my dear man has dedicated Sundays as my PJ day, so that I can rest some more, catch up on my friendships and simply do whatever that does me some good.... so indeed one of my first calls has been to you lot my friends here within the kitchen.
Wishing you all a calm and peacefiul day, love and uplifts to all that are laden and troubled........may you too find that inner peace.
